"How does one write lyrics?" Jimin asked when he had sat down on Yoongi's studio couch. He had tried to write something, but his head had been empty. He never had written anything remotely like lyrics, not even poems, so he had absolutely no idea. And because his only source of support was his teammate, he had decided to visit him, no matter he still felt awkward because of the kiss.
"Let your emotions guide your pen and it'll follow them just like your body does while you dance," Yoongi offered wisely.
"That's not helpful, Hyung," he growled.
The composer just shrugged and let himself fall back into the office chair.
"Can you show me some of your raps?" Jimin asked. He still had not had the chance to listen to other samples.
"Sure," the blonde said and turned around to his two giant screens. "I once did something with Namjoon and Hoseok."
"Hoseok? The dancer Jung Hoseok?" Jimin asked curious.
"Yeah, you know him?" the older asked over his shoulder.
"He was my roommate in the dorms, before I moved out into an own apartment," he explained.
"The ways of the universe," the other mumbled and searched for something on the computer.
"I didn't know he could rap."
"Well, he can. And he's not bad either. But you can hear yourself."
With that he started a song. If Jimin had to describe it, he would say the guys spit fire. It was incredible rap, a little unprofessional but still not bad.
And over the next hours they worked themselves through the history of Yoongi's works and co-works. Jimin was amazed by even just simple background samples and asked the composer to show him how he did it. So, his teammate would also show him his skills at playing the piano and the launch pad. And they even produced a little instrumental song together. Jimin had not been this fascinated in a long time.
But at some point, his stomach growled and reminded him that he had not been eating dinner.
"You ate already?" he asked the composer.
"No, but we're off time. Doors are already locked," the other said with a look at the clock.
"Shit," Jimin breathed out and pulled out his phone. He had to write Kookie, or hell would break loose.
He texted his boyfriend that he would sleep at Jin's, not wanting his lover to get mad because he was with Yoongi, and then he faced the food question.
But Yoongi had already pulled out a filled water cooker and two pots of Ramyeon from nowhere and started to prep the soup. Delighted, Jimin watched his teammate and breathed in the spicy flavor. It was obvious that the composer had spent more than a night in here. The only thing missing was a washing machine.
Happily, they sat on the sofa and munched on the noodles, continuing their talk about producing music. Yoongi amused him with the fact that he had hit underground stages under the name Gloss before he came to university, and, after they had finished the food, he showed him old photos of him. It was weird to imagine the lanky, small boy as a rapper with an acidic tongue. Even when Jimin tried his best. The rapper had gotten much more attractive over the years, even if he still was as slim and pale.
When Yoongi looked at his phone to find another silly picture, Jimin grabbed for an annoying stray strand that constantly fell over the composer's eyes when he looked down, and he froze mid-movement. A thick silence suddenly surrounded them, and cautious cat-eyes looked at him. Why had he never realized how dark Yoongi's eyes were. They were almost perfectly black. Ebony orbs that burned on his skin. But what burned even more at the back of his mind was the kiss they had shared.
