"Yes we, I am going to need a volunteer to show how NOT to skateboard"
"And why am I the ideal person to show how it to ride a skateboard?" I ask
"Because you're you. You're a bit of a clutz" he shrugs his shoulders
"You're so rude!!" I say angrily.
"Mhm the whole world knows that as well. Now can you stop wasting my time so we can actually do something?"
"Oh I'm the one who's wasting time now am I?! At least I'm not the one who is pissed off with someone even though they didn't do anything!" I snap back
"And why does it matter so much if I am pissed with that 'someone' or not to you??" He smirks
"Because" I look down
"Because what?"
"Because it does okay!"
"You wanna go now to teach these kids?" He asks changing the subject. I nod without saying anything.
I know why it matters but I just don't want to admit it. I can't like someone the way I liked Tyler. Even though I feel like I can trust Alex a lot more than Tyler, I'm just not sure.
We walk back to the teens who have gathered together and Alex explains how to ride safely. I
keep waiting for him for him to have me as his volunteer but he never does. I feel so relieved when I realised that Alex was done teaching and he never mentioned my name. After the children run away to go and skate Alex walks back to me.
"Yes Yes I know I am so kind, funny and let's not forget handsome. You are forever in debt to Me" he says dramatically.
"Why would I be in debt to you?" I ask confusedly.
"Because I saved you from being mocked!"
"Thanks but I really wouldn't put it past you to do something before we leave!"
"Such ego! Can't even thank me properly" he smirks
"Just be quiet please"
"Who's pissed now Sophia?"
"Why does it matter to you ALEX?" I try and reiterate what Alex said to me.
"Ha nice try!" He says mischievously, "now come with me and I'll teach you how to skateboard" he holds my hand and pulls me in his direction. Initially my hand starts to feel tingly and slowly it travels around my whole body.
Alex grabs a skateboard with his spare hand and we go to a corner where there are not many teens present.
He places the skateboard on the floor and urges me to stand on it.
I reluctantly put my feet on the skateboard and I can feel it start to move. I almost fall off when Alex's hands are placed on my waist to prevent me from falling. As a natural human instinct, I try to jump off instantly but Alex's hands on my waist don't allow me to do so.
"Don't give in to the skateboard. Be in control of your fears, show them who's boss" Alex instructs me.
"Alex I can't do this thing for shit, I'm going to fall and embarrass myself" I whisper
"I'll help you" he assures me.
Alex puts his foot on the board to stop it from slowly moving. "Give me your hands" He instructs me."W-why?" I ask nervously. My heart rate increases.
"I'm helping you"
I place my hands in Alex's and he holds them firmly. Once again the feelings run around my body but faster this time.I'm too busy staring at Alex to realise that we're actually moving! I feel so shocked that I could actually kind of skateboard!
"I'm gonna let go now babe" Alex informs me. My hands slowly slip out of his as I proceed to move ahead, by myself. I start to skateboard myself and I could not be prouder of myself!
I move much more ahead and I don't look back either. I assume Alex is right behind me and I keep going forward.
I suddenly feel hands on my waist again and this time they feel different. I turn around and I see Evan's grin as wide anything.
I begin to panic and I stumble. Within seconds, I find myself on the floor with a bleeding knee.I scream.
