You never thought that it would be miserable to date a person like Tom but you should have seen it coming. He was a celebrity and of course he didn't have enough time for you. Face Time and phone calls weren't enough.
Plus when you guys called, it was like you guys weren't together. Almost like strangers. You guys talked to each other uncomfortably because of the lack of communication. Things got awkward quickly, soon it was like there were no feelings anywhere.
It was almost like Tom was afraid to show his feelings. Instead of interacting like couples or even friends, it was like you were just a stranger in a sea of people he made eye contact with. There was a strong silence wall in between you guys.
He never said the word love to you which you didn't really mind because actions matter but there wasn't any of that either. You felt like he was with you just because he didn't want to be lonely. He didn't show that he love or even like you. You knew that things like this takes time but Tom was always the kind to show his true feelings.
Everybody saw it coming. Everybody saw the way you guys interacted when you guys were together.
You broke up with Tom and he didn't say much. With just a few nods you guys were no longer a couple. You guys weren't a couple since a long time ago but the label was still there and it needed to be destroyed.
Tom stood in front of your house. He was too scared to knock. Too scared to show you how he really felt, he was scared to show you the person you fell in love with, too scared that you would leave. His fear came true.
He swallowed down the saliva down his dry throat. His voice was probably scratchy from his cries. His aching heart was telling him that he wouldn't be able to talk to you after all these months.
There was definitely love. Even if he didn't show you or tell you with his words, inside he fell in love with you. He fell in love without you knowing. He still stuttered every time he tried to talk to you. He stumbled on the words and his wrong decision. He knew he should've shown you how he really felt.
There was something real in the darkness inside of his heart. Now he just wished that you would come back home to him.
