Throughout my life, words have been everything. I write with them to ease my own mind and also use them to comfort others.
The title is very much reflective of the time during which I wrote these. Hazyfantazy, a nickname given to me by friends a...
Anger, an emotion, that some of us know well We may know it as passion and only come across it, from time to time However most of us will feel it and it truly is no crime.
We may mistake other emotions, for this prominent one Like agitation and exasperation, or being downright pissed off But to truly feel anger, like a ball of fire in your gut May not happen often for some but for others, maybe too much.
I fall into the category, of not often but enough Sometimes it can rage within me, maybe you too and I know, that's rough.
It can consume me to the point, where I cannot rationalise The reason for my anger or reaction and the look in my eyes As I stare at the subject, of my emotion, so raw Look back at me if they dare, who knows if they even saw That they have just turned me from placid, into something obscene Who now has fire in their heart and hate on their mind And would quite happily show it but they don't want to be unkind.
See that's the funny thing with anger, it can be such a fleeting thought You may think at the time, that your target is sought You can plot, seek revenge and decide they deserve all that you will serve But no sooner are you ready, to attack with power, you're prepared Then all of a sudden your conscience kicks in, is this person really guilty of this sin?
Is it worthy of hate, is it so spiteful you'll risk Your own mind and your soul, to carry out all that you wish Most often, alas, your conscience will win through Remind you to observe and not hate, the fault may lie with you!
You've misunderstood the situation, you've overreacted again Give them a chance to explain, and then, only then Can you truly judge them fairly, as to whether they are guilty or not.
Some situations pass the test, with flying colours and you realise You are merely experiencing disdain, there's no need to despise.
So next time anger may strike you, unaware and with haste Make sure your subject deserves it, or you'll be left with the bitter taste Of swallowing the humble pie, that you surely must eat Because incorrectly enforcing your anger, is no mean feat.
