Rio and I were still talking peacefully in the lounge room since we had nothing to do, when Karma opened the front door and slammed it behind him. "NAGISA! RIO!" We heard him scream, and from that point. We knew it was time to say goodbye to our lives. "Why are you screaming? Isn't Elizabeth in here? It's not very proper to scream with a-" "Rio, shut the hell up. Care to explain what you were talking about earlier?" He asked us with a stern look on his face. We both shook our heads violently. "Wow. Rude. Okay, bye then." He said and left the room.
Once he left, Rio and I just looked at each other before busting out laughing. "That was hilarious!" She exclaimed, wiping tears that were coming out of the sides of her eyes. I wiped mine too, Karma was so fun to mess with.
"Night Rio!" I called after her while walking into my room. I closed my door and walked to my dresser. I took out a pair of pajamas and slid my maid outfit off. After putting on the warm pajamas, I flopped onto my bed and thought for a second. 'Does Karma actually like me? Or did he just do all of that for no reason?' I shook off the thought, he has Elizabeth. Of course he doesn't like me...
Or does he?
I woke up the next morning, sun blinding me. 'WHo the hEll opENEd mY CURTAins?' I thought as I stumbled over to them, pulling them close once again. Rio stumbled into my room a second later, she looked like hell. "I. Hate. Elizabeth." Is all she said, before collapsing on my bed. "I think everyone does, honestly." I said and shrugged. "Why aren't you dressed yet?" She asked, glancing at me. "I just got up, someone opened my fucking blinds." I said as I walked over to my closet and taking out my uniform.
Once I got dressed, Rio wasn't in the room of course, I walked out of my room and down the hallway to Karma's office. To my surprise, he wasn't in there. I walked around the house in search of him, when I finally saw him, he was in Elizabeth's room. They were kissing.
I internally screamed, but continued watching. It felt wrong, I'll admit it, but still. (creep)
I was about to leave, when I heard someone scream. I quickly turned, to see Karma on the ground, bleeding, and Elizabeth holding a bloody knife.
Rio's PoV
I heard a scream coming from Karma's room. I was already dressed in my pajamas and this happens, great. I grabbed my gun, that Karma gave to me a year ago, from my nightstand and quickly ran down the hallway, trying to get there as fast as I can. When I got there, let's sum up with I was seeing:
Karma, bleeding to death on the ground. Nagisa, standing there in complete shock. Elizabeth, grinning, with a knife in her hand. Thankfully, there wasn't a lot of blood on the ground that I'd have to clean up later.
I pointed my gun at Elizabeth, she didn't notice I was in the room yet. "Nagisa! Go help him!" I yelled at the bluenette, who finally snapped out of his daze and nodded. I watched Nagisa run over to Karma, before she used her short arms to pull him out of the room. Elizabeth was finally looking at me.
"I'm surprised you didn't suspect me, Rio." She said, smirking at me. I let out a laugh, before returning to glare at her. "You think I didn't suspect you? You're dead wrong, I knew it from the start." I stated calmly. She looked like she was about to lose her cool. "You could shoot me, and I'd not be a problem." She said, still smirking. "I made sure that stab wound wouldn't kill him,"
"But if you shoot me Rio, you're going to lose your best friend."
I could honestly hear her smirking just from her voice. I shuddered. "Why'd you come here?" I asked, still glaring. "Did you really think I came here to kill him, Rio?" I was trying to process her words as best as I could.
