Newt x Reader : The maze hurts

Chapter 10: From the beginning

    So Thomas came up in the box yesterday, and he doesn't reconize me yet but I decided I would tell him  about the dream I had, and last night he remembered his name so that's good. But I'm gonna wait for a couple of days. So Newt and I got up early as usual because he's second in command and I'm a runner so we had to get up early. We met up with Minho while we were walking, he's getting pretty good with his crutches. He also got an ankle brace the creators sent one up with Thomas. We walked to the kitchen to get some breakfast and to get our lunches. As we go to sit at our table I see Thomas starting to walk over so I got up and walked to him.

    "Hey Thomas, what are you doing up so early?" I asked him

   "Well actually I came to find you." He said

    "What? Why me?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.

    "Well I had this dream last night" he trailed off then looked me in the eyes and continued. "And it had you in it!" He said nervously.

    "What exactly happened? What was I doing? What was going on?" I asked rapidly.

    "Well there was this worker, you, and me we were in a white room then he started asking us questions. He also said lets try out your guys twin telepathy, what ever that means." He explained.

   "Ok, Thomas I had the same dream except I don't think that those are dreams I think they are memories." I stated

    "You may be right." He agreed, we were standing there for about 10 minutes talking.

    "Hey since you're up do you want to come and eat breakfast with us?" I asked me gestering to the kitchen and our table.

    "Yeah, I would love to actually" he said with a smile on his face. So Thomas and I walk to the kitchen and get some breakfast for Thomas then I lead Thomas to our table and he sat across from Newt and I, right beside Minho. Soon enough we all finished and it was time for Newt and I to go.

    "You ready y/n?" Newt asked.

    "Of course I am, when am I not?" I replied, I started to streach and Newt followed my lead and streatched to. Then It was time to go the door were opening.

    "You ready......Lets go" I said running into the maze Newt right behind me.

                                                                              ~Thomas P.O.V.~

    I woke up sweating and crying, I had a nightmare or memory or something. But I need to find y/n now because she was in my dream. So I got up early to look for her, I got up and dressed then I headed out the door. I looked for about 5 minutes then decided to go and look at the kitchen and I saw Newt, Minho and y/n sitting there and I started heading over and then y/n saw me. She started running up to me, and then we talked about the nightmare but it was really a memory. She told me she had had the same dream the night of the day that I had come up in the box. Then she asked me if I would like to join Newt, Minho and her I said yes. So we walked to Frypan who gave me a plate with hashbrowns and two pancakes on it. I sit across Newt and y/n and right next to Minho, it was time for y/n and Newt to go into the maze because their runners so they got up which left me with Minho. I found our his name last night, I took my food and I switched to the other side of the table to face him.

    "Hi, my name is Thomas." I said lending out my hand for him to shake, he shook my hand.

   "I'm Minho nice to meet you shank" He replied.

    "Nice to meet you to, so what do you do here?" I asked he looked at me with a sad look on his face.

    "Well do you now why I have chrutches?" He asked and  I shook my head. "Well I'm a runner well was for right now, I was running away from a Greiver when my foot got tangled up in the ivy and I feel. I got my foot out and made it back to the glade and I didn't tell anybody not even y/n. Then I was getting ready for the next day to go out and run and Gally was standing talking to me and he saw my ankle. I told him about what happened and to not tell anyone else, then I ran into the maze that was a bad idea I screwed my ankle up pretty bad from running. Then I was almost to the entrance when the doors started to close, at that point I knew I wasn't going to make it and I was going to be trapped out there for the night. But then y/n ran out gabbed me and pushed me out before the doors closed and she got stuck out there for the night." He explained tears streaming down his face remembering the horrible memory.

    "I'm sorry" I said he just nodded and then we got up and got to work, today I had to work with the Trackhoes lets see how this goes.

                                                                                     ~Y/n P.O.V.~

    Newt and I had been running and mapping for hours.

    "Love can we take a break" he said panting out of breath.

    "Ya its time to eat anyway." I said sitting down and pulling out my sandwich Frypan had made. Newt sat next to me and did the same.

    "So how are you holding up?" I asked him finishing my sandwich and getting a drink from my water.

    "I'm doing good love, how about you?" He asked me with a smile.

    "I'm doing great thanks for asking." I replied and started packing up my things and stood up. "Alright we got to get going." I said putting my hand out and he grabbed it and I pulled him up.

    "Wait one more thing" he said staying put.

    "Wh-" and I was cut off by his soft warm lips against mine I broke the kiss and pecked his cheek and we started running. We ran for about 5 more hours and it was time to start heading back to the glade. We made it back with about two minutes to spare and we headed to the map room. We put what we found in our little box where we keep the maps and headed out.
