Newt x Reader : The maze hurts

Chapter 30 : Gally?

    I couldn't believe it Gally had ran into the maze and gotten stung but how was he still alive and why? Why did he do it? He had tears coming from his eyes, his clothing was all tore up and he had blood everywhere. 

    "They'll kill you!" Gally screamed at no one in particular."They will kill you all, one every night till it's over!" We all watched as Gally walked with a heavy limp to his right leg, nobody moved we were all in shock. He stopped in front of Thomas and I and pointed at both of us with a bloody finger. "You two, It's all your FAULT" he yelled emphasising the last word. Then he put his hand into a fist and swung I ducked put Thomas didn't he got hit in the ear. That was it this wasn't the Gally that I knew. I took his wrist and twisted it so it broke, then I punched him in his nose then across his jaw. He went down and laid there for a moment I then went to help Thomas up. When I turned around Gally had made it to the other side of the wall by the Windows. 

    "It can't be solved," Gally now had a quiet and spooky tone. "The shuck Maze'll kill all you shanks . . . . The Grievers'll kill you . . . . one every night till it's over . . . . I . . . . It's better this way . . . . " We were all shocked, then he moved his attention to the floor. "They'll only kill one a night . . . . Their stupid Variables . . . ." 

    Thomas stepped forward "Gally just shut up there are Grievers out there just sit and maybe they'll go away." Thomas said trying to remain calm.

    "None of you get it, you're all too stupid, you've always been stupid. There's no way out, there's no way to win! They're gonna kill you, all of you, one by ONE!" Gally said screaming the last word. He then turned to the window and started to tare the wooden boards like a caged animal trying to get out of it's cage. 

    "NO" Newt screamed while starting to run forward towards Gally Thomas and I followed. Gally had ripped the second to last wooden slab off and hit Newt in the head with it sending him back with blood starting to come from where he had gotten hit. Thomas and I got in stance and getting ready for a fight. 

    "Gally" I yelled. "What are you doing!?" He just looked at me panting like a winded dog."

    "You shut your shuck-face, Y/n and Thomas. You shut up! I know who you are, but I don't care any more. I can only do whats right." Neither Thomas or I could move we were to confused and baffled by Gally's words. Gally then took off the last slab of wood and as soon as it hit the floor the window shattered. Thomas cover me and we both scooted back to get away from what ever was happening. A Griever was trying to get in it was already half way in and it's claw was trying to find somebody to take when Gally said something and it made it stop. Gally then started to talk again. "Nobody understood, Understood what I saw what the changing did to me! Don't go back to the real world, Y/n! You don't . . . .  want . . . . to!" He gave one final death glare to Thomas and I then he launched himself into the Griever. He just sank deeper and deeper then all the Grievers started leaving.

    I looked at Minho and he looked at me and we both nodded and started following the Grievers before anyone could say anything. We sprinted into the Maze and we were now out of sight.

    "What the hell are you doing?" Thomas screamed at me in my head.

    "We're checking to see if the Grievers  are disappearing through the Cliff." I replied back Thomas was silent.

    "Please just be careful" Thomas said full of concern.

    "I will I promise" I said reassuringly we didn't say anything after.

    Minho and I continued to follow the Grievers but at a safe distance we didn't was to take any chances we followed until we got to the corner right before the cliff we hid behind there and watched. One by one the grievers rolled into balls and launched themselves into the black abyss and they disappeared right were the rocks did I looked at Minho and smiled. We then got up and started running back. 

    Sure enough when we got back we had Thomas and Chuck waiting for us Thomas ran towards me and gave me a hug I hugged back. 

    "You two shanks are so weird." Minho remarked.

    "You're just jealous" I replied 

     "So where did they go?" Chuck asked.

    "Right where we wanted them to they went over the cliff and just vanished" Minho replied. 

    "Yep, wait wheres Newt? Is he ok?" I asked with a worried look in my eyes.

    " He's in the Med-Jack's hut but -" I didn't let Thomas finish I just started sprinting to the Med- Jack's hut.
