Chapter 16: Why y/n

~Newt's P.O.V.~

I've been thinking of y/n all day I'm hoping that she comes back soon. I kept seeing Paige staring at me and I didn't really like it but I couldn't focus on that. All I need to focus on right now is my job and how Im gonna to apologize to y/n. Thomas was with the Trackhoes today and him and Gally got Paige to work with the builders today but she didn't really do her job she just kept staring at me and it was getting annoying and creepy. Then the lunch bell rang, I sat with Chuck, Thomas, Gally, Paige. When we sat instead of Thomas sitting next to me he sat next to Gally with Paige in the middle. Paige just staring at me as I eat I started to loose my apatite and pushed my plate away. Then it was time to get back to work, Paige still kept staring at me but she's glaring at Thomas. Then she looked at the maze and she got a smirk on her face as if she was planning something. Then it was time.... Time for Minho and y/n to come back y/n she had never left my mind. I was counting down the minutes 5........4........3........2........ Then finally 1 Paige had some how managed to get to the front. But why? It was almost time for the doors to start closing and every bloody second I just wanted to run in there and find them. But then a gust of wind came and the doors started to close, but as the started to close rounding the corner there she was y/n and Minho. Minho was ahead but I know y/n was behind him to make sure that he got out. They both made it into the glade but then Paige grabs y/n shirt and pulls her back then Paige said.

"Newt's mine now not yours" right after she says that she pushes y/n back into the maze Thomas and Minho instintly go in after her by the time I had got there the doors had sealed shut. I pound my fist against the walls and turn to Paige.

"WHY THE HELL DID YOU PUSH HER BACK IN!" I yelled at Paige.

"You don't really like her do you come on now with her gone it can be just you and me." She said putting her hand on my neck.

"NO I love y/n and nothing will ever change that. BUT NOW BECAUSE OF YOU SHE COULD DIE." I started yelling again tears streaming down my eyes. "Take her to the bloody pit!" I say and two guys grab her arms and start dragging her off.

"WAIT NEWT PLEASE NO NOT THE PIT PLEASE" she screamed but I didn't listen.

"All keepers to the hall we need to discuss what happens to Paige." I said heading to the hall.

"Good that, you heard him" Alby said getting the rest of the keepers and heading to the hall. We didn't bother putting her in the chair.

"Ok so what do you shanks think we should do with Paige?" Alby asked looking around the room.

"Well I think we should bloody banish her" I said with no hesitation.

"Agreed" Gally's voice chimed in. Then rest stay quiet until I speak up.

"Come on slintheads, this is y/n we're talking about the only girl in the glade for what I am concerned. Y/n has been there for all of us she makes us laugh and smile, she means a lot to all of us." I say then I sit down and put my head in my hands and I couldn't help but cry. After about a half hour it was time to vote.

"Ok all who vote to banish Paige tomorrow rase your hand." It ended up being 5 to 2, so it was agreed that tomorrow that we were going to banish Paige.

~Y/n's P.O.V.~

"Why did you guy come in?" I asked concerningly .

"Well the first time was my fault and I wasn't letting you get stuck in this shucking maze all by yourself again." Minho said and gave me a hug.

"Yea and I wasn't about to lose my twin" Thomas said joining into the hug.

"Awe you guys are the best." I said then it hit me. "Oh no what about Newt" I said and I couldn't help but cry. Thomas just sits next to me and he put's his arm around me and Minho sat on the other side of me and held my hand and we stayed like that for about a half an hour. Then they heard it the Griever I was kind of use to the sound. We all just stand up and I turned to them and said, "stick with me unless I say so." They both nod at me then we start running.
