Nico di Angelo lay under a tree in Camp Half-Blood, peering at the infirmary with his dark eyes. He cried out in pain as he held his sides. Shadow-traveling can really do something to you. Nico was stuck, to say, it was painful to move. He saw campers rush over, trying to help him and calling for someone to help. A blonde, tan skinned boy ran up to Nico and got beside him, slipping his arm around Nico. Nico whimpered as the hand touched his side, the pain becoming unbearable. The boy looked at the infirmary, then at Nico.
The boy then stood up carefully, Nico now in his arms as he rushed to the infirmary.
"You're lucky I was here and not on break!" The boy proclaimed said as he ran, almost tripping and losing his balance but then regaining it. "Will to the rescue."
"Hurry up Will!" One of Nico's friends, Percy Jackson, said as he caught up to them and they ran.
"I am hurrying!" Will replied.
Nico watched with now a bit of a clouded vision as they made it to the porch of the infirmary. He saw as Will, the boy carrying him, laid him down on a bed and secured him there.
"See? I told you I could run." Will rolled his eyes as Percy stumbled in the infirmary, panting.
Will got a pen and some paper to take notes, and there was mistake number one. He didn't know the universal rule for treating shadow traveling aches. Sure, he knew how to stop headaches, but not too much physical pain. If Will fed him to much nectar, that'd do no good. Will got some nectar nonetheless and poured only a little. Trail and error would have to do, simple as that.
"Drink up, death boy." Will called.
Nico, being the shy unsociable half-blood he was, just took the little bowl of nectar and drank it up. He knew the nectar wouldn't do much, just relieve some pain. What would it do him anyway? He was a pale, edgy Hades kid. Nico reached over to hand the bowl back to Will, but leaned to far and almost fell off the bed. Will's fast reflexes caught him.
"Gotcha." Will said.
Nico laid bacl down and hissed at the pain, gripping his own arm, making it paler than it was.
"Nice grip." Will said, getting up and writing some things down and considered what to do.
Nico started to get uncomfortable with the nervous tension in the air and started to panic a bit. Percy had left because of orders and he was alone. With Will. Speak of the devil, he took out a needle and injected some liquid in the needle. He walked back to Nico.
"It's okay, death boy." Will said sweetly, seeing as Nico was taking deep breaths.
This time Nico gripped Will's free arm, basically digging his nails into Will's skin as Will injected the needle into his shoulder.
"OUCH!" Nico screamed.
Will injected the whole liquid and put the needle down, taking back his other hand to clean it. He saw where Nico pierced him was bleeding from clipping onto him. He shrugged it off and walked to where the materials were to clean it.
"What was that for?" Nico asked.
"To numb you for a bit. The nectar will also help the pain, and hopefully it'll help the pain. SOrry man, but I have no idea how shadow traveling works." Will replied.
"Careful with cleaning that sharp-ass needle."
"I'm always-... careful."
Nico saw Will turn around with a bleeding scratch on his palm, and from where he basically clawed him. Will got some bandages- one for Nico's shoulder, and some for himself. Nico rolled his eyes at Will's mistake, and Will just flipped him off. Will proceeded to write some more stuff down and look back at Nico.
"I'm gonna go for the day, someone else is gonna cover for me. If you have any more symptoms, tell me when I come back." Will said, taking off his coat.
Nico nodded as he shifted a bit, seeing Will walk away.
"Thanks."
Will stopped walking as he looked back at Nico, smiling. "Your welcome."

"Not very grateful, is he?"
Will was walking around camp with Percy, referring to Nico.
"He's from the Hades cabin, he's not the most grateful." Percy said, pulling out a fallen leaf out of WIll's golden hair. "Whenever he gets a slight emotion it scares him, and he doesn't like it. One time he felt happy with me and he fought me for it."
Percy and Will stopped as Percy slightly lifted his shirt to reveal a scratch.
"Still have the scar." He sighed.
Percy and Will kept walking, and Leo ran up to them snickering.
"Guys, watch this!" He smirked, snapping his fingers as Percy's shirt caught on fire for a slight moment. Percy squealed and took it off, throwing it aside. Will yawned sightly as Leo laughed hysterically.
"Not cool, Valdez. Not. Cool." Percy said through gritted teeth, taking the shirt and throwing it out as he was now shirtless. "Remember what you just did when I drown you someday."
"Drown me? Record it and post it on YouTube, it an be viral!" Leo commented.
"If I were you, I wouldn't. No mist can cover that up." Will informed.
"The only reason you say that is because you're not the one going viral." Leo said.
"Okay, okay, you got me." Will said sarcastically as he waved his goodbyes and went to his cabin, seeing some of his brothers and sisters there as well. He plopped on his bed and fell asleep right away, exhaustion taking over.
