"Alright cabin, out! Campfire's starting, and we have a surprise!"
The whole Apollo cabin cheered as they heard the word "surprise". They all filed out of their large, large bedroom, running out. Will ran a hand through his hair and was about to walk out when someone grabbed his hand. He looked over and saw Thea.
"What's wrong sissy?" He asked, playing around with his little nickname.
"I don't wanna go alone." Thea mumbled.
Will grinned and leaned down, blowing raspberries against her neck. She giggled and kicked her little legs. He then picked her up and set her in piggy-back ride position, Thea still kicking her legs in enjoyment. He walked out of the cabin, it now being empty.
As Will almost made it to his table, Nico passed by and seemed to be biting his lip. Jason was beside him, nudging him.
Thea started squealing once she saw her friends. Will set her down as she ran after them, and they started playing tag.
"Well, Solace, I never knew you were such a good sibling." Jason started.
"I'm the older brother and head counselor of the Apollo cabin, what else is new?" Will shrugged.
The three got their food and sat down at their perspective tables. Will sat at the head of the table and ate the rest of his food that wasn't thrown into the fire. As he did he watched his cabin sit down at his table, laughing and having a fun time. Austin, one of his siblings, sat beside him.
"Hey Will." He slapped the back of Will's neck.
"Ouch, Austin! That flipping hurt!" Will complained as he flicked a pea at Austin. Austin just chuckled in response.
"Howya been? I haven't seen you all morning, I even checked in the infirmary."
"Well, I fell asleep at Nico's cabin all morning," Will eyed Austin as he wiggled his eyebrows and making kissy faces, "Don't look at me like that, I don't like him that way jackass. Anyway, I hung out with him later with Percy and the Argo group as well."
Austin nodded. "What's our surprise?"
"Capture the flap."
Austin threw his hands in the air, but mistakenly slammed his funny bone against the edge of the table. He winced and gripped it in pain.
"Be careful." Will held back a laugh.
"Yeah, be careful, jackass." Thea said, who was sitting down with them.
Will immediately leaned over to cover her mouth as Chiron was passing by as he monitored everyone before their announcements. Austin burst out laughing and fell of the bench, making Chiron eye him. 'He's fine' Will mouthed to Chiron, who nodded confusingly and walked on.
Thea removed Will's hands from her mouth. "What? What's wrong?"
"Nothing, nothing, just please don't repeat that word!"

"Today is a very special event, because today, we have capture the flag!"
Everyone ran to get their gear and weapons, as Chiron was listing the red and blue teams.
The Apollo cabin was in the red team.
The Hades Cabin was in the blue team.
Will started walking with his cabin to the other side of the forest. He was walking with Leo, since the Hephaestus cabin was also with them.
"B IS FOR BONGHEADS THAT HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE, L IS FOR LOSING PRIDE!" Leo sang.
"Are you seriously singing a parody from Sponge-"
"U IS FOR US THE PEOPLE THAT BEAT THEM, E IS FOR HOW WE'RE CHAMPIONS!"
"Sorry to break it to you Leo, but 'champions' doesn't start with 'e'." I chuckled.
"I know, I tried, this was on the spot." Leo shrugged, rolling his eyes and poking me with his sword. "Why don't you have a weapon?"
"I'm not a fighter." I replied.
I looked the trees I passed by as I walked. I was always selfconscious about that- not being able to fight. I only had healing, which was great, but I also wanted to fight. It made me feel horrible, I can't defend anyone or myself, which makes me seem weak.
That was something else- people always have to come in and be my Prince Charming and save me.
Especially on the Battle of Manhattan.
"Will! We need you!"
I looked over and saw Michael Fletcher point to some camper as they were on the ground, blood everywhere. I nodded as he ran away to fight. I bolted to the camper and saw him- his arm looked like it was stabbed and scratched, deep and was going to be infected soon.
If I didn't do something now, he would die.
I got some wraps from my pockets and wrapped it around his arm, multiple times so it wouldn't bleed. I ended up using up almost 2 whole rolls of wraps as it was almost soaked in blood. I wanted to use more, but I had to improvise. There were other campers in need.
The camper opened his eyes, his eyes seemingly distant. I fed him some ambrosia from pocket as he moaned in pain.
"It's okay, you're okay, you're going to be okay." I mumbled.
I was 13 at the time, only a kid, but I had nothing else to do.
"WILL, MOVE! NOW!"
I looked up immediately and saw a monster coming towards me. Michael was trying to run after it, but he wasn't fast enough. I watched my life flash before my eyes and I closed my eyes, hugging the unconscious camper on him, tears spilling all over this camper.
And them I heard a loud thud.
I looked up with blurred vision as the monster was now on the floor, bleeding. A figure was before me, reaching out his hand.
"Hey, you okay?"
I looked up and saw a pale boy with a ripped aviator's jacket. I took it and stood up, the unconscious camper now in my arms.
"T-Thank you," I stammered.
"No problem. Be careful there, kiddo, don't get yourself killed."
And then he disappeared in the shadows.
"Oh my god," I muttered, "that was Nico."
