Nico swung his sword, slamming it against Percy's. The both of them were sword fighting together, since Nico hadn't been training in a while and Percy wanted to help him.

Nico pulled his sword back and ducked, sliding through Percy's open legs and poking Percy's back with his sword, causing the seaweed brain to squeal. Percy turned around and kicked Nico's knee and ran towards him, his sword in the air as he was ready to swing it at him. Nico rolled over and let Percy stab the ground. Nico then jumped on Percy's back and slickly slid the sword out of the crushed boy's hands and pointed his sword at his throat.

"Alright, alright, I get it, you win." Percy muttered.

"Are you kidding? Your ass just got handed back to you." Nico smirked, getting off the boy.

"The only person that can hand my ass back to me is Annabeth."

Nico chuckled and handed Percy back his sword. Percy wiped the dirt off his clothes and thanked the son of Hades, getting Riptide and sticking it in his pocket as Riptide went from a weapon to a pen.

"What are you gonna do now?" Percy asked, following Nico as he walked from the arena and to the dining hall.

"Gonna eat. Then maybe visit Will."

Percy gasped and wiggled his eyebrows. "So, you and Will, huh?"

Nico felt all the heat rush to his face and heard his voice crack. "W-What?! No, it's just a check-up! I'm also getting him some food while I'm at it!"

Percy responded with a "yeah sure" and got his plate, serving himself some mashed potatoes, chicken, and gravy.

Nico got his own plate and served the same thing. Why did Percy mention Will like that? He's just a friend, and by coincidence, his doctor. What was so wrong about that? Will's just compassionate, strong, cute, smaYOU'RE GETTING AHEAD OF YOURSELF

Both boys scraped some of their food in the fire to honor their gods and made their way. Percy sat at his table and Nico made his way to the infirmary.

Will ran a hand through his golden locks as he walked away from one of the rooms. He had just finished stitching up Katie Gardner's arm, and he needed some fresh air since she was screaming and wailing around while he was doing so. Will was about to go out the door when a special someone opened it.

"Nico?"

Nico smirked at Will. "Hey Solace, how's it been?"

Will smiled. Nico was so cute. "Good, I guess. What are you doing here anyway?"

"Thought you could get something to eat. I haven't seen you eat all day."

"So? I still have time."

"It's 6 pm."

"Doesn't matter."

Nico sighed and walked with Will deeper into the infirmary and handed him the plate.

"Look, this is only gonna work if it goes both ways. I'll take care of myself if you take care of yourself. Therefore, we're cool."

Will chuckled at that logic. Since when did Nico care about himself?

"The last time I told you to take it easy you summoned a huge crowd of skeletons and shadow-traveled to the other side of camp in under a minute."

Nico sighed and looked at Will.

"Look, I know I don't have the best reputation for that, but I've actually been doing what you're telling me. I had some fresh air with Percy, ate with Hazel, it actually feels... kinda nice."

And that's when Will took notice how Nico actually wasn't lying- the shadow under his dark eyes were fading and he didn't look as skinny as he did when he first came here. Maybe he actually did care, but why?

"That's good to hear." Will replied, putting his hand on Nico.

Nico opened his mouth to say something, but somebody called for Will to help them out with a patient. Just in the nick of time.

"Well, I gotta go." Will said, waving goodbye and heading off.

"REMEMBER WHAT I SAID!" Nico  yelled.

Will could have sworn he heard Nico say something else, but one of the Apollo kids dragged him to another patient.
