"What the FUCK IS THAT THING?!" Will screamed.

I raised by sword to my chest. "I don't know sunshine, but we have to move now!"

As soon as the boar passed us, we ran to the side to avoid from getting hit. The monster turned around to attack us again.

The monster itself was disgusting, yet huge. It was a mud color. It had about 20 horns on its face and where supposedly it's cheeks would be, with hair on its back. It's small eyes were an orange-red, and a huge snout and long tail.

The boar charged at me, and fast. I ran to where Will was quickly before the boat passed by again, his face facing the ground as his horns were pointing to where he was going.

"Hold on!" Will said, closing his eyes for a brief moment as the boar looked at us ready to charge again, dragging his feet on the dirt.

Will started to slightly glow as a sudden tiny spotlight shone in the monster's eyes, making it roar and move around blindly.

I already knew what the plan was. I charged towards the boar and had my sword facing ahead of me, ready to stab the beast. I slashed my sword deep into the stomach, blood pouring everywhere. I even got some on my black converse.

"Oh man that's disgusting! Is this what it's like in the infirmary?!" I jumped around trying to get the disgusting blood out of my shoes. I looked over at Will- his eyes a blinding blue as he stayed concentrated on blinding the boar.

Unfortunately, the boar ran to a random direction- Will.

I closed my eyes and concentrated hard, my palms pointing towards the ground. Skeletons poured out, cracking parts of the earth.

"TO THE BOAR!" I directed.

The skeletons followed my order and ran towards it, making it topple over. I rubbed my eyes as I felt tired- that really drained my energy. I ran over to Will, who was now on the ground.

"Will! You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah yeah," he mumbled, sitting up, "just did it for a long time. Give me a few seconds."

I looked over at the battle happening before us. The skeletons climbed over and around the boar, stabbing, scratching, and biting. The boar jumped around and tried to use its tail to shake them off. He then got in his sides and dragged himself like a dog would do on a carpet- crushing some of my army of skeletons. It took a minute for them to regenerate.

"Sorry Solace, we don't have that kind of time right now."

Will groaned and stood up, almost falling over at I steadied him. "And this is why I hate capture the flag."

We ran towards the beast. I stabbed the boar at different directions, trying to be careful to not get hit by its horns and not get in the skeletons way. Either way, one of them scraped by arm, leaving a gash and blood.

"How you doing Will?!" I gripped my wound before giving up and slashing at it.

"I don't know!" I'm glad he responded. His voice, even in danger, calmed me down ever so slightly. "I'm trying to attack every now and then, but without a weapon it's hard! I've never seen this monster at camp- and I've been here for 6 years!"

The monster did seem ancient, at least to me it did. Sure, there's really no telling but I had a slight feeling that it was. It was like something was experimenting with it- it had too many horns as if they weren't sure where to place them.

Finally, I found a soft spot and stabbed it. The beast fell over, roaring. Will ran beside me, with a slight bleeding scratch on his cheek and bloody knuckles.

Then the weirdest thing happened.

The boar's eyes glowed, and it spoke:

Shadows overcome and terrorize your home,
Trapped and enclosed peers static; not roam.
For once they attack, while delayed and
abrupt,
Births a battle and all surveillance- corrupt.

The beast then roared again, and slumped over before exploding into dust.

I looked over at Will- wide eyed and a petrified look in his face. I'm sure I looked the same way. This monster just displayed an Oracle.

"We have to tell everyone now. Let's go." I grabbed his hand and shadow travelled us out of there.

"So there was a monster at camp?" Chiron asked, sitting at the head of the table.

We all gathered in an emergency counselor meeting. After we came to camp, the infirmary gave us ambrosia to give us some strength as we rushed to tell Chiron the news.

"Yes, there was." I responded. The Apollo kids had wrapped my arm up and gave me extra ambrosia because of the skeleton summoning and 2 shadow travels. They handed me some more bandages in case it bled through.

"But if wasn't just some monster, it was different." Will added.

Will's knuckles were also wrapped and his cheek had a bandage. He had a bucket beside him in case he would puke again after our shadow travel. I didn't trust him saying he was 'fine'.

"It gave us an Oracle, and I've never seen it around camp- it was huge with a bunch of horns on its head." Will continued, stretching his arms out to demonstrate.

Everyone stayed quiet as they heard the word oracle.

"I think I know what it is." Annabeth stated.
