Will almost tripped over his own feet as he slid into the infirmary, the birds chirping as he did. It was Apollo's fault he was up this early- they were meant to wake up early and sleep early, but Will being counselor, that didn't go well. Every morning since he was named  counselor of the Apollo Cabin, he'd wake up tired. No matter, he drank Red Bull. Will got to Nico's bed and saw him still asleep, breathing steadily and looked calm.

Last night was different. All night he wondered how he got so lucky as to have the cutest boy with him. He couldn't get him out of his mind. By the time Will had stopped fangirling and fallen asleep, it was near morning.

Will took a seat beside Nico and kinda lookde at him. You know, like a stalker. That was, until Nico woke up.

"It's so early." Nico grumbled sleepily, rolling over on the bed.

"Sorry Nico, but we need to do the checkup." Will said, re-reading what he wrote yesterday.

Even if Will hadn't met Nico, other thoughts would have kept him up. His mom was the main one. His mom never found another person to connect as well as she connected to Apollo. She had guys come left and right, and then they left her like she was a used toy. Ever since he noticed that, Will could never stay with her when campers could visit home, since his mom was always moving.

"You're keeping something in your mind."

Will saw Nico crossing his arms and looking straight at him.

"How are you not surprised." Will muttered.

"I know, I know."

Will asked Nico more questions and did some more tests on him, and Nico seemed to be healthy and fine.

"Well, Death Boy di Angelo, you are discharged, meaning you are free to go." Will said.

Nico cheered and swung his legs over the bed and stood up, heading to shadow-travel to Hazel. He stopped when  Will cleared his throat and give Nico a warning stare. The stare was part raised eyebrow and part purse lips. Nico was sure that everyone who worked in the infirmary had that stare.

Nico decided not to shadow travel so Will couldn't kill him. Will changed expression to a small smile as Nico stretched his arms a bit from staying on the bed.

Nico usually enjoyed being a rebel. However, when it came to Will, he had this feeling overcome it. He didn't know what it was, but it was something that made him think twice before doing things. He wore all black, or grey at least. It didn't help he looked emo- dark features, but pale skin.

Nico walked out, leaving Will behind back in the infirmary  as he worked. Nico strolled around the camp and ran int his friends, who hugged him and gave him kind and caring words. It wasn't something known, but Nico wanted people to care about him and pity him sometimes. It felt like people loved him and cared, something he never really got in his childhood except from Bianca, but she's not here anymore. It was something else to be overprotective, but just some care was nice.

"Yo Nico, we missed you!" Jason said, nudging him playfully.

"Not so hard, Jason!" Piper warned.

"It's fine, doesn't hurt. I'm fine." Nico commented.

Nico made his way to Hazel, who was somewhere in the crowd. They hugged eachother.

Will left the infirmary and walked through the dark. He, like every night, snuck into his cabin and went in his covers to sleep. He kept thinking about Nico, and his mom, Nico, and his mom, Nico, and his mom. It was the middle of the night, make more when he started to drift off. He started to.

Until something squirmed in the covers with him.

Will rubbed his eyes and looked in the covers to see a dirty-blonded girl with braids and pale skin.

"Thea, what are you doing?" Will asked.

"I can't sleep." Thea mumbled.

Will sighed and scooted, even if the bed was small. Thea hugged his chest and hummed.

"What's keeping you up?" Will asked.

"Love." Thea sighed. "Not like you'd understand. You don't look at any girls in a love way."

Will forgot. He hadn't come out yet. He hadn't come out of the closet yet. But he didn't want to tell anyone. He looked down at Thea, who who looked at the ceiling as a portion of the sun was starting to come up. She had barely any worries to be contemplating, so small. Will sighed and held her tighter, looking out the window and massaging Thea's hair.

"Yeah, you're right."
