Lost at Sea
Chapter 14
Her Abilities
Steve did not expect this. He did not expect to take refuge on a secluded farm miles away from any form of civilization.
He has known Clint has a family, but he didn't expect their home to be so family orientated, comforting, and cozy. This place was the home he wanted to make with Emily and Mariana. This was his dreams; the dreams that died along with his family.
However, his hope is the strongest its ever been. Steve believed his daughter survived the plane crash and with the vision Wanda Maximoff showed him, he is positive- certain that she is alive. But she's somewhere within HYDRA.
Mariana is still alive. If she wasn't, HYDRA would have made it clear to him that they killed his daughter, just to irk him. The question is, where is she?
Steve quickly fished his phone out of his pocket. He speed-dialed a familar number before putting the reciever up to his ear. "Elizabeth- it's me," He made sure he didn't have any listening ears before continueing. "I have an idea."

Alene awoke with a startled jump when Maria's angry shout reached her ears. "What the hell are you doing here?!" Curiously, she stood from her cot and walked up to the indestructible glass separating her from the outside world.
She was shocked to hear the familiar voice belonging to Tony Stark reply, "We're picking up something important." As he finished saying that, he and the other Avengers came around the corner and approached her cell.
"I'm faily certain I told you guys to stay far away from here." Maria crossed her arms.
Steve gave her an apologetic look over his shoulder. Clint snickered from the Captain's right. "Yeah. In case you haven't noticed, Tony is very bad at following orders."
"You know I can hear you guys, right?" Alene nearly rolled her eyes. It seems the rumors were true; Tony Stark's ego is way too high. "I have to add shockers to my suit," He continued, "With them, any unwanted thing or person who touched my suit will get electrocuted. Plus, it will keep the Maximoff's mind-player at bay."
Alene busted out in hysterics at the billionaire's words. "Wow. I thought the Avengers are 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes', but it seems I was wrong." She chuckled.
"What are you going on about, Kolmas?" Tony glared at her.
That just made her laugh harder. "You guys are fun to mess with," She said in between giggles. "But sad to watch. You guys don't know a thing about mind manipulation it's funny."
"Oh really? I don't believe you were the one who was controlled and forced to fight against your friends." Clint seethed at the girl. "Try us. Let's see what we know."
Alene raised an eyebrow at him. "Hm, yeah? Let me rephrase that; you guys don't know how to control mind manipulation."
The group gave her a confused look. "Uh, can you explain that in simpler terms?"
"Wanda Maximoff's manipulation is easy to block out with enough mental strength," She said in a 'duh' tone of voice. "Which you all lack." Tony didn't let it show but he was offended by her words. She continued, "Wanda has little control over a person's mind. She can't necessarily control a person's actions but can manipulate what you see."
