1. Saddest Day

CHAPTER ONE: Saddest Day

REESE

“Thank you for this day Bestfriend! You are the best! Si Mhim wala lagi, nasaan na naman ba iyon?! Tsk! She’s always like that! Hayy~ Good night Bestfriend! I love you!” mahabang litanya ng bestfriend ko na si Ishie. Kanina pa siya nagpapasalamat sa akin dahil sa sinamahan ko siya kanina sa Mall Show ng minamahal niyang Sugar High, dahil nakaakyat siya ng stage at dahil napasaya ko siya. Yea, she’s happy. But how about me?

I’m here at my room. Ishie left and my tears began to fall.

I wiped my tears and answer the phone.

“Yeoboseyo?”

 

“Hoy Reese! Where have you been?! I’ve been waiting for you all this time here! Do you know na nag-aalala na ako sa iyo! Bakit ngayon mo lang sinagot ang phone mo?! At alam mo rin ba kung magkano ang ticket para sa concert na ito?! And you just wasted it?! Hey! Are you listening to me?”

 

“Yea,” I sobbed.

“Aish! I’ll go there,” then she ended the call.

Kinuha ko ang wallet ko sa bag at nilabas ang isang bagay na iningat-ingatan ko. It’s a ticket for EXO’s Concert here in the Philippines. Tinitigan ko ito.

“I just did the right thing. First is family, then friends, studies and for the last priority, fandom. Remember that, Reese okay?” I said to myself.

“Hey Iha, I want you to make friends with my daughter. She really wants to be your friend.”

 

“You stole my daughter’s boyfriend.”

 

“But, Mr.Lopez! NO!”

 

“The next time you do that to my daughter, that she was left alone, mas malala pa dito ang mangyayari. Tatandaan mo na ako ang boss ng mga magulang mo. I’ll fire them kapag nalaman ko na sasaktan mo ang anak ko. Ikaw ang may kasalanan nito kaya ayusin mo ito!”

 

“You shouldn’t do anything that can make my daughter sad. Alam mo naman ang mangyayari diba? Just be Ishie’s bestfriend and hindi ko papakialaman ang mga magulang mo.”

 

“I haven’t done anything…”

“So, it’s Ishie again?” I nodded.

 

“Bakit ba kasi hindi mo nalang sabihin kay Ishie ang tungkol diyan sa Tatay niyang baliw?! Ishie is our friend now. Mabait si Ishie, she’s just childish. ‘Yung away niyo before tungkol sa ex-boyfriend niya ay naintindihan niya naman dati diba? Ngayon pa kaya?”

 

“I’m afraid.”

 

“Afraid of what?!”

 

“Takot ako para sa pamilya ko.”

 

“Fvck that Mr.Lopez! Hayaan mo siya! You know what, I’ll talk to Ishie. Sasabihin ko sa kanya na tumigil na siya sa pagiging childish niya. Sasabihin ko na sana intindihin ka naman – “

 

“No. I can handle this.”

I hugged my pillow and let this sadness bring me to dreamland.

 

“We are bestfriends, Reese. Goodnight,” ilang sandali pa ay narinig ko ang pagbukas at pagsara ng pintuan.

Maybe if other people are looking at me. They will say that I’m insane. I am crying over EXO. The group who does not know I exist. The group that is an ocean apart of me. The group who does not love me back the way I love them. I see them but they do not see me, they see us. Moreover, it’s freakin’ heartbreaking! Whatever I do or they do, I still love them. I do not care if they do not know me. I do not care if they do not see me. As long as I am with their fandom. As long as they say they love their fans. As long as they are one. As long as they’re performing for us. As long as they’re happy. As long as they make me smile. I’m here. I’m still an EXOstan.

I am their fangirl and I will never let go of that title.
