(A/N: Yeah, about that 'my (Y/N)' thing? It was a typo. I swear. I'm sorry. Anyways, back to business baby! I screamed in class when I saw an other comic. No joke. People looked at me. I smiled. Rouge's back, after three f&!%#g months!)

My eyes fluttered open to be greeted with darkness. I wasn't sure if I really had opened my eyes or not, nothing but black. It reminded me of ink, the darkness. That was until I heard a voice, Mug's voice. "I can't see anything! What is this place?" I heard, as a glowing blue light emitted from Mug's fingers. "Mugs?" I asked, using my paws to support myself as I stood up from the ground. "(Y/N)?" Mugs said, as he walked over to me. "You okay?" He asked me as he pointed his index finger to the ceiling(?).

"I'm good, how about you?" I asked, "I'm good." He replied. Then, a small frail voice came from our right. "W-who are you?" She asked. "Who's there?" Mugs said, as we turned to face the direction of the female voice. As the light shined on her features, she looked similar to the mermaid we had fought not long ago. Yet, she looked scared. She covered her eyes with the sudden flash of light, but later revealed her beady black shining eyes.

Mugs scowled at her and glared. "Hey! You look like that giant monster lady that's trying to kill us!" He yelled. "No please, I've got nothing to do with-" I quickly held him back. "Mugs, I don't think she's the one trying to hurt us!" I said, scolding him as the mermaid looked at him in fear. "W-wait, you came from the outside, right?" She added with shock written all over her face. Before we knew it, tears started streaming down her face. "P-please tell me you're here to save me... I can't take this place anymore!" She weeped.

"Mugs, you're scaring her!" I scolded once again as Mugs shrinked back before kneeling down to her level. "Oh gosh! No no no, I'm sorry! You don't seem involved with any of this!" He said, patting her on the shoulder in attempt to comfort her. "Don't fret, I'll figure out a way to get all of us out of here, alright?" Mugs said, as he winked. Damn, is he flirting with her?

"A-alright." The mermaid replied in a blushing mess. They would make an adorable couple. "Alright then let's see, um? Golly! I didn't even ask for your name yet!" Mugs said. "I'm Maria, Cala Maria!" Maria said as the octopus or squid on her head smiled. It had it's tentacles wrapped around her head, as if it was her hair. "Woah, I didn't realize that you were stuck!" Mugs said, as we both looked to see that Maria was indeed stuck in the floor. "Yeah, sure am." Maria said as she huffed in annoyance. "Here, let me and (Y/N) help you out of there." Mugs said as he motioned for me to come over to him. I nodded, then we both went behind her.

"I don't think you can." Maria said, before we attempted to pull her out by the arms. No matter how much we tried, she wouldn't budge. She was right. "Told you." She said. "I thought this was going to be easier." I said.

As we all sighed, a bright flash of light interrupted and we all turned to face what seemed to be some sort of gear. Could it be, the ink machine piece? "Wow!" Mugs said as he turned to face the glowing gear. "It's the gear, it glows every time this place needs power."

"Is this the piece we need? Maybe I can take it off." Mugs said as he slowly walked towards the gear. I slowly walked to the side of the mermaid as we both watched Mugs admire the gear. "It's stuck there as I am." Maria said, looking down in false hope. "A little bit of hope won't hurt you know, I'm sure Mugs can do it!" I said, giving her a thumbs up and a small smile. "I-I'm sorry, it's just that I'm tired of hoping for nothing." She replied.

I gave her a light hug. Then, Mugs began using his strength to turn the gear. "I'm sure it must have sucked every time, but there's always another chance!" Mugs said as he grunted mid sentence. He started sweating, and I could slowly see the gear budge. "I promised you we'll all get out, so hope for me!" Mugs said. "Let me help you, Mugs!" I said with determination as I ran towards the gear. I sprinted to his left, and used the power vested in me to support him as we turned the gear together.

The gear had started to twist to it's right, as Maria's eyes glowed with hope. Hearts formed in her eyes. Not to me, but to Mugman of course.

"I do believe in you! My heroes!"

Cuphead's Point of View

I ripped the bandage wrapped around my right eye in anger. How dare this mermaid bitch eat my brother and (Y/N). I had just started warming up to her, only to watch her get eaten by a monstrous creature before my very eyes. They both sacrificed themselves, for me. Once again, I had lost my brother. I had lost two people that I cared for, to this bitch. As I glared at the monstrous mermaid, I heard loud footsteps and cries.

"Mugman! I'll save you!" Boris yelled, what was this kid thinking!? I had to stop him, so I swiftly blocked him from the monster. "Where you do think you're going?!" I yelled, glaring at his teary-eyed face. My glare weakened as I walked more tears stream down his face. "I-I have to save my friend..." Boris said, cowering under my scowl. Just like me, he trusted Mugs. He was his friend. Mugs loved him as a friend, and so did Boris. However, it was my responsibility to keep him safe. For Mugs' sake. "Listen kid, my brother likes you. So until I save him, you're under my protection!" I said, patting his said in an attempt to comfort the boy. "You saw how strong he is! He is fine, and I'll make sure of that." I said. I wasn't sure if Mugs or (Y/N) were still alive or not, but I can't lose hope. Mugs promised me he wouldn't leave me.

I quickly retracted my arm from Boris in embarrassment. "D-don't tell the others about this side of me." I said with a faint blush on my face. I had to keep up the reputation of a tough, strong Cuphead. Not a weak, comforting one. Boris nodded with a grin. "Saw it all, fluff-heart." I turned to face Bendy with an angry blush, "no you didn't!" I yelled. He was choking one the mermaid's snakes on her head.

A loud screech interrupted my thoughts, and we all turned to face Bendy clinging onto the mermaid's snakes for dear life. He was high above the ground, right above the deep water he could potentially fall in. The snake Bendy was grasping aimed for Bendy's face. In shock, his grasp loosened.

His gloved hands released the snake,

and he fell.
