!! NOTE: YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ ALL THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS AGAIN SO YOU DON'T GET TOO CONFUSED OVER HERE SINCE THIS BOOK HASN'T BEEN UPDATED IN SUCH A LONG TIME!!

my sincerest apologies, my dear readers.

i'm terribly sorry i didn't update sooner, but as you all know this book strongly relies on the new comics published from Rouge in order to be continued.

and although there still hasn't really been any new comics lately since months ago, i decided enough was enough. i'd make do of what i have.

[Second Person's POV]

The water around you felt. . . cold. You felt bubbles surround your body despite your eyes being closed shut. All the air that once filled your lungs were replenished, with water. And choking didn't work.

You finally opened your eyes to see a faint light shining through the waves, and it hurt.

Everything hurt.

You attempted to scream, but nothing escaped your mouth but bubbles. You were slowly running out of oxygen, weakening with every movement you made in frail attempts to escape the grasps of water.

Your hands desperately reaching towards the surface to no avail, and the water around you grew a crimson red.

. . until you felt a warmth. Warmth and tightness around the areas of your waist as you felt your body forcefully being moved throughout the water.

And with your final breath, black spots took over your vision before it engulfed everything.

[Bendy's POV]

"I'm fine, Boris. Just let me help them!"

My worried little brother, Boris, glanced at me with unease. He wanted to hold me back from helping because I just woke up, but everything was fuzzy.

What had happened?

"Aren't you at least going to explain that weird form of yours? You. . . you really scared be back then." Boris said with worry clouding his eyes.

Honestly, what was he talking about? Both him and Cuphead went on about this so-called "form" of mine.

"Boris, what are you talking about? You and Cuphead are weirding me out here." An eyebrow raised, I looked at him with pure confusion; I don't have a--

"(Y/N)!

I heard from a distance, Mugs? Mugman? And a. . . female voice? Who was that?

Boris and I, and everyone else quickly turned in the direction of the loud screams to be greeted with a nightmarish sight.

As if in slow motion; there (Y/N) was. Falling from a hole in the mermaid's corpse of a head. As her motionless form cut the air as she hit the water, panic struck. A large splash was created, only telling us how hard she had hit the water.

And my instincts kicked in.

To save her; to save (Y/N).

"BENDY!" Boris screamed with shock as I sprinted as fast as I could towards the water. Dodging every crack that fell from the mermaid's head and pouncing between sharp rocks, I dived in deep.

The salty cold water embraced me as my eyes darted everywhere to where (Y/N) could have sunk, and I found her. In a cloud of her own blood and bubbles.

She was unconscious, so much so that her face looked peaceful, almost. In the midst of all the destruction and tragedy, looking so beautifully calm.

I swiftly swam to her side and grasped her waist as tight as I could like I'd lose her. I swam and swam, as fast as I could, traveling through the water like nothing mattered except her.

And right now, that was the case.

Her survival, her life, any chances I ever had with her; it all depended on me. And if she didn't make it; it would be all my fault.

But I wouldn't let that happen. No, I couldn't. I'd never forgive myself if it did. Finally, I made it out of the water. Panting from exhaustion, my knees hit the floor as (Y/N) was taken from my arms.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N), WAKE UP! WAKE UP, I FUCKING SAID WAKE UP!" Cuphead's voice echoed throughout the cave as he shook (Y/N) with worry.

"You fucking idiot, screaming at her won't do a thing!" My anger spoke for me as I pushed him aside as his hands left her shoulders, as I looked at her closed eyes.

. . and my lips met hers. I was giving her CPR. She needed it; badly for that matter.

My memory recalled everything I learned once about CPR; a life saving technique I never thought would come in handy until this very moment. My vision grew blurrier with every rescue breath, but her life was in my hands.

And I wasn't going to let go just like that. Never.

Finally, I heard coughing. Never have I been so incredibly relieved to hear the sound of coughs.

I backed away from (Y/N) as she continued to spew out what looked like gallons and gallons of water. I felt so happy; so happy she was alive. So, so fucking happy.

Her eyes opened in shock as the final collection of water exited her mouth as she held her fast beating heart. I felt tears rolling down my face, I was in joy to see her even move. To see her eyes open, to see her breathing.

To see her alive.

And as quickly as I could, I hugged her as tight as my arms allowed me to despite my exhausted state. My body was weakening, no! Not now!

Cuphead was saying something. No, screaming something. So were Felix and Boris. But I couldn't hear them.

I was tired, and my vision was so blurred and flawed, now I could see nothing but hazy colors. Nothing but a blurry figure and a white background shook my shoulders. Patches of black appeared in my sight.

Slipping in and out of consciousness, I hit the cold hard rocks with a thud.

My job was done.

-

hope this was good enough for your standards.

again, i'm really sorry. but now, i really can't do anymore unless Rouge publishes at least a few more chapters.

i squeezed out everything i could from like the four or so chapters she gave us.

but forgive me, this was long overdue. i should have known that i could actually write something. hope this made your day?
