Should You really worry about the unknown?

Now I'd like to talk about the fear of the unknown. We all have such fear when we face something new. It's normal, because when we see the beginning of something – whether it is a road, place, or a situation – we don't know what awaits us further on... In such situations people very often begin to subconsciously insure themselves – they create new obstacles so that they cannot move on and face something evil, embarrassing, or disappointing... Later, we try to justify our passivity at all costs. The question is – is it worth it? Is it worth to create a negative scenario in Your minds which surely wouldn't happen in reality? Wouldn't it be better to face Your fears? When You're trying, You can gain a lot, but when You are passive, You ALWAYS lose! Give Yourself a chance and just try it. In the worst-case scenario it will be as bad as You've assumed at the beginning, so remember – it can't be worse! You can only GAIN something!

However, it's not about playing the "Russian roulette", but about a conscious and thoughtful overcoming the obstacles. It's not an art to draw back before trying, or to do something on an impulse which can bring terrible results. It's important to take Your steps with confidence and look for the best solutions. When You are patient and persistent, You can safely reach Your goals.

Now, imagine a tree hollow. At first sight we may think we won't find anything pleasant inside (just spiders and other bugs). But can we claim that there isn't anything valuable, for example a gold bar, which could change our lives, without checking?

Of course, when we mindlessly put our hand in that tree hollow, driven only by an excessive optimism that we could find something precious there, it may end up badly for us (for example, we may be bitten by a venomous spider)

Of course, when we mindlessly put our hand in that tree hollow, driven only by an excessive optimism that we could find something precious there, it may end up badly for us (for example, we may be bitten by a venomous spider). However, when we retreat without taking a chance, we also "lose", because even though we won't get hurt (nothing will bite us), we also won't gain anything and our lives won't change. However, if we approach this task mindfully and if we open our minds, focusing on checking the tree hollow in a safe way, we can only gain something. Of course, such solution requires more effort from us and that's why many people give up on their goals, losing their chance from the very beginning. Others do something on an impulse (Russian roulette), hoping for a positive result (however, we can still get a bullet...) Therefore, in order to achieve our goals, let us open our minds, stop blocking ourselves and look for solutions.
