On the side is the dress. But the dress is in the color rose gold, not black.

CHAPTER 15
"You did what?" Anthea shook her grandson's shoulders in disbelief. "How could you let her go off like that? God, you are one dumb ass of a kid."
"Grammiee....." Archer whined harder. His grandmother has been doing nothing but scolding him for his actions with Rosalynn. He had hid away in his office, doing nothing but work.
"Don't grammie me, Archer. Man up and apologize to her." Anthea said as she concocted a plan in her head. "Tell you what? Since there's a masquerade party coming up before the Moon Festival, invite her to be your date. I will help you."
Archer straightened up and listened carefully, "How?"
"That's for me to know. Now, get you lazy ass up and prepare for the feast. The rest of are doing the work while the Alpha is grieving." Anthea pushed her unwilling grandchild out the front door and into the forest.
*Back to the current time*
"Rosalynn Dana Myers, get up before I have to come back and drag you down here." Arisa shouted up to her daughter who was still sleeping even though it was now one in the afternoon. She had backed away to give Rosalynn a bit of time to relax because of her broken heart, but she was going too far. It already had been four weeks since she got back from the Anders residence in the middle of the night with nothing but torn, blood soaked clothes and tumbleweed of hair. Arisa relaxed knowing talking with Sam might have gotten Rosalynn out of this depressed nature, but surprisingly, Samantha's perkiness didn't affect her at all.
"I'm up, ma. Just give me a minute to wash up." Rosalynn mumbled with her toothbrush in her mouth.
"Alright. Come down, I have a letter for you." After a loud run down from the stairs, she reached her mother who was vacuuming the carpet.
"Where is it? Where is it?" Rosalynn scavenged for the letter. She was hoping it was her acceptance letter to University of Wisconsin-Madison.
"Here." Her mother showed her the letter. Rosalynn reached for the letter.
"Nuh-uh. Mommy dearest will have to see it first." Arisa raised the hand that was holding the letter, above her head, away from her daughter's reach.
"Mommy, you know how long I've been waiting for this day." Rosalynn whined.
"I know, sweetheart." Arisa tweaked her daughter's cheek as she opened the letter. She drew the paper from within the envelope and her eyes skimmed over the paper. "It's trash mail, love." Arisa immediately crumpled the invitation paper and threw it into the trash bin.
"Ma!" Rosalynn grabbed the letter and straightened to its former glory.
"Ms. Rosalynn Dana Myers, have been invited to accompany Mr. Archer Kellen Anders to the Half Soul Moon Festival, on June 17, 2013. The festival be held at Flambeau River State Forest. Accept thee invitation by dialing this following number: (414)-423-****." Rosalynn read out loud. What the hell?
"Exactly. Now throw that trash away. You don't need to meet a heart breaker again, do you?" Arisa sternly told her daughter.
"I-I can't, mommy. I should at least give him the chance to explain himself. But, what am I suppose to wear? I don't even know what kind of event this is." Just then, the door bell rang.
"Delivering service." Arisa opened the door to find a man holding a large box.
"Um.. Thank you." She signed the paper and took the box inside after shutting the door.
To her curiosity, Arisa opened the mysterious box to find a beautiful lace silk rose-gold colored dress. "Oh my. Rosiee, come see this."
"What is it, ma?" Rosalynn jumped on to the couch which her mother was sitting on.
"This is... This is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. It's prettier than my wedding dress." Arisa felt her cheek moist with her tears. "Here, read this." She shoved the card her daughter's way.
"To my beautiful Rose. I hate these sad moments where I wake up from dreams about you only to realize they haven't come true and you're just a few miles away. You might describe me as a heart breaker,a player, or anything else you would like. You can hit me and hurt me but don't tell me to separate with you. You are my weakness and my strength, my will and my desire. I may not be able to give you everything you dream of in this life but I can promise you one thing. And that one thing is my heart. What I have for you is unconditional love. Accompany me to the festival. Meet me under the large willow tree in the back of the forest at 8:00 on the day of the festival." Rosalynn shed tears, she never knew she had.
"What a sweetheart, that man is. Don't let go of him." Her mother said in between hiccups.
"Ma, you called him a heart breaker only few minutes ago." Rosalynn whined.
"That was before I knew his side of the story." Arisa wiped her tears and got up to cook lunch for her husband and daughter.
"You still don't know, ma." Rosalynn laughed. What a day it was. She carried the boxes to her room to have a look see. She took the dress out of the box to reveal a winter v neck, rose gold lace dress with a medium sized train. "Wow." She sighed. "On to the next box." Rosalynn opened excitedly. She never realized she liked getting gifts this much. The anticipation, the surprise and the love that comes with it.
Inside the second box was a pair of rose gold heels decorated with pink and white roses. She smiled to herself. Who ever knew that Archer had a good sense of style. Wait no, this was probably picked out by courtesy of Melissa.
In the final box was a beautifully detailed rose gold masquerade mask. {A/N: Picture link in the comments link.} She had the urge to wear them but she delayed since she knew because of her clumsy nature, she might harm them after harming herself. Rosalynn instead decided to call Sam up, since she had been dying to here some news about her romantic lover.
"Sam?" Rosalynn asked.
"Yeah, what's up?" Sam asked.
"Um.. I got an invitation to a festival."
"So?"
"Wait till I finish. I got an invitation to a festival to be the date of Archer Kellan Anders."
"WHAT?!" Her friend screamed. "No way. He made his initial move. Yeshh."
"Yeah, yeah. And then.."
"There's more?"
"Sam calm down. And yes, there's more. He also sent me a dress, shoes and a mask along with a romantic letter." Rosalynn said dreamily.
"Whoah. Wait. Wait, back up. A mask? As in masquerade ball kinda thing?"
"Yup."
"Wait. I'm coming over." And the phone call was disconnected. Rosalynn's best friend was dying to here something, but first, she must get there to see the items.
"Now, to call Archer and accept the invitation."
