CHAPTER 6

Even though Rosalynn did accept the challenge, she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. What kind of people will be there? Will they judge me? She wiped her sweaty palms on the side of her jeans and gazed uneasily outside as their truck reached a gate elongated to a small yet beautiful rose garden surrounding the pathway.

"Alright, we get out here." Trevor spoke.

Cassandra climbed out of the truck and waited for Rosalynn to grab her stuff then climb out. Cassandra did not like the idea of having a total stranger in their house, but she could see the unwavering connection between her brother and the girl. If by any luck, she will be bringing her little sister in law/ Archer's mate into the house, then she's not a stranger.

Once Rosalynn closed the door of the truck, it sped toward what she thought was a garage. Cassandra softly took her by the hand and led her toward the gate which she unlocked. After a few minutes of walking, Rosalynn wondered how their house would be like if this massive yet beautiful ground was their front yard. She gave up thinking any harder when they reached a fountain that featured a sculpture of an alluring woman with wings that extended over a wolf as if it was protecting it from any harm.

She peered behind to find the most beautiful house she has ever seen. There were staircases from the side that led to a double door. The surrounding was heavily decorated by different varieties of trees and flowers. It was absolutely breathtaking. Rosalynn expected to get a heart attack once she went inside.

"Amazing right? Trevor has to take care of all this work and the pack work since I'm with the baby." She said while gazing dreamily.

Rosalynn assumed from her comment that pack work must be the place where her husband worked. "Yeah, its amazing. You must really love him." At the mention of her comment, Cassandra blushed wildly and distracted Rosalynn by leading her toward the door. The door opened to reveal what she thought was a palace. Spiral staircases leading toward the top floor, a glass chandelier that was centered on the ceiling illuminated by candles, and the living room with pieces of priceless furniture surrounded by glass walls. Even the ground was decorated. It was a mosaic of a wolf howling at a full moon. Truly beautiful.

If my mother saw this, she might just faint all over. I had to literally beg her to let me come with Archie. My poor innocent father finally got involved and calmed her down. I have to apologize to him for the bruises from the punches he got from my mother. And yes, she's violent. But not, abusive. The humorous part was that my father had to fling her over his shoulder and take her inside when she started shouting at me to get back. Even the couple laughed, which made me a total embarrassment.

"Well, since you are staying for a week, we can let you stay in the guest room." Cassandra guided Rosalynn toward a door and motioned her to go inside. Thankfully, it was a normal room and coincidentally was decorated with my favorite color, blue.

"Make yourself comfortable. And by the way, my troublesome little brother and sisters also live here so don't mind them. And remember, the challenge is on." Cassandra said while chuckling amusingly and lifted her hand in a cheer to show Rosalynn her new found spirit. "Oh yeah, I will send someone to escort you down to lunch soon."

She nudged Rosalynn toward the bed and closed the door behind her. Little brother and sisters, ha? I think I could deal with little brats then. After all, I took care of Mason and Nathan. I don't think anyone could be troublesome as them. Rosalynn settled her bag down next to the little wooden nightstand and dumped her messenger bag on the bed when she heard a growl. Oh god, Archie. How could I forget about him? She pulled him out of the bag by grabbing on to his little warm tummy.

"Hey, Archie. I'm sorry I forgot about you, little buddy." He yapped and climbed on to her lap, where she stroked his ever smooth fur.

"Archie, want to go look around?" He yipped excitedly as Rosalynn took him into her arms and jumped out of the bed headed toward the door. She walked along the extended hallway when she reached a door in the end. Being the curious girl she is, she grabbed the doorknob intending to turn it meanwhile he jumped off her arms and in front of the door, barking. He barked rather loudly as if he was preventing her from entering the room. She ignored him anyway and went for the knob, still indulged in utter curiosity. You know how they say curiosity killed the cat? That's totally me. But no matter what happens, I still do these kinds of things.

The room looked real different from hers. It was a plain room painted green with a large bed, a mirror and a desk with a chair. She went toward the desk filled with mess of paper and books. Rosalynn went through a book named "Sensual Ecstasy". As soon as she read the title, she dropped the book onto the ground. Ryan had once of these stuffed under the mattress of his bed. Sam and I found it there once. It was a book filled with you know, sexual information and so on. A paper fluttered out of the book. Rosalynn picked up the paper to find the weirdest and the creepiest thing ever. A sketch of me. ME for gods sake. What the hell? Even so, in a book like that? She clutched the crumpled paper in her hands and ran to her room not wanting to be in this creepy looking lonely room.

After running down the hallway, she closed her room's door behind her with cold sweat running down her back. Did I fall in some kind of trap?

No way. She went to my freaking room. I didn't want her going there. There wasn't only one picture of her. There were tons. Don't get me wrong, I'm not obsessed. Her beauty was worth capturing. My mother had told me before, if you love something, do not capture it in to a motionless and emotionless painting, instead let it go. But, I have no other choice, I loved her and not being next to her as a man took a lot out of me. Especially the transforming. This is too much waiting yet I have to make her understand about us werewolves, rather carefully. A picture being inside of the book was just an unnamed coincidence. That book isn't even mine.

Rosalynn jumped onto the bed and clutched her pillow close to her. "Archie. Come here, baby." She muttered. She pranced closer to her.

"Archie, I-I'm scared. What i-if something happens? I should have listened to my mother and stayed. But, I didn't want to give you away." I've scared her. Scared her to the point of crying.

*'Yeah, dumb ass. Our mate thinks we, no you are some creep stalking and drawing pictures of her.'* Archer's wolf growled and he blocked him out. I didn't need more stress.

She unraveled the drawing and traced the outlines with the tip of her fingers. "I have to admit, the artist have some talent." She wiped her tears away and smiled faintly. Archie barked and climbed onto her lap, reached her face and licked her cheek.

"Jeesh, aren't you a sweetheart."

A knock sounded on the door. She shuffled off the bed and opened the door. A familiar figure to Archer stood outside.

"Oh you, she's waiting for you." The girl said blatantly. Savannah. My little sister. Archie barked happily. It's been a few weeks since I've last seen her.

"Oh, you brought you puppy here too? Great, just what we need. Another animal in the house." She huffed as she walked away.

Rosalynn stared at Archie, "What's with her?" She grabbed him once again and walked down the wrong way.
