CHAPTER 11
Hmm... What a night it has been. I curled up next to my sweet little mate as she slept soundly. At the sound of her confession, I just wanted to shift right then and take her. And right now, my wolf is making it even harder for me. This little horny bastard is really delusional. He's picturing different scenarios where I would take her, rough.
'Stop it. It's disturbing. You're making me feel like I'm a creepy, old, delusional pervert.' Archer spoke to his horny wolf.
'I can't help it, Archer. I'm in the peak of my heat.' He whined.
'Oh, not this again.' Archer spoke drowsily causing his wolf to whine louder.
'Can we please go for a run, then?' His beast suddenly sat up and howled louder.
'Fine, will you then let me get some shut eye?'
'Yeah yeah what ever.' His wolf rolled his eyes and started pouncing inside Archer's head, excitedly. Archer growled lowly and jumped off the bed, hitting the floor board with a thump. He always forget that he is different sized and do that.
Archie jumped up on to the stool and then out the window. Since I'm a wolf, it doesn't hurt as much.
Rosalynn woke up with a gasp and her body drenched in cold sweat. That tragic dream kept on replaying in her mind as if it was meant to be. She lied down flat in the bed as she checked the alarm clock. 4:34 AM. A sudden gust of freezing wind blew toward her. Rosalynn realized the window was open. She placed on her slippers and stood up to close the window. She then saw a little black figure rolling across the lawn in to the forest, which was located to the right of the mansion. Archie? What was he up to?
Rosie placed on her robe and crawled out the window into the tree, of the hot summer night. After climbing down the willow tree which grew next to the window, she landed with a loud thump at the base, just in time to see Archie disappear off into the forest. She quickly followed in his tiny little paw steps, as the path ahead darkened.
The area closed off to trees, branches and vines. Sounds of the nighttime filled her ears. Scraping her way through the forest at the sound of a waterfall, came off to beautiful clearing. The moon was reflected upon the crystal like water and the waterfall fell down with a roar.
She snapped out her gaze just when a man appeared from the lake. She watched in awe as he combed the water in his hair with his fingers. His broad shoulders glistened as the moonlight shone off the little droplets of water. He turned around with a scowl and his eyes met hers, his gaze softened and he trudged forward toward her, out of the water.
With each large step he took forward, she felt herself take one back. The only thing she could clearly see was his icy blue eyes. His face was covered by the dark strands of his hair. Rosalynn noticed that he was almost out of the lake, she quickly looked away from his smoldering gaze and onto the waterfall, noticing that he was naked as the day he was born. Within what felt like moments, he approached her, he placed his hand under her chin and turned to him to meet his eyes. With his other hand, he wiped his wet hair out of face, revealing Archer.
"You shouldn't be here, love." The husky tone of his voice clearly revealed the anticipation, and lust. "Ar-Archer?" She was shocked. Rosalynn followed Archie and return she found Archer, isn't that a bit ironic. Funny how fate find this amusing.
"You shouldn't be out at all in this time. Who knows what is out in these woods?" Archer pointed out. He had patrolled these woods ever since she moved here, but he still knew that there are many dangers lurking around in these woods for its next pray. I'm no better than them. He motioned her to turn around with her forefinger, and placed on his brown cargo shorts.
"I-I was following Archie to see where he disappeared off to." Rosalynn explained. She couldn't point it out but there's something about Archer that makes her want to reveal her whole life to him.
"Oh. I see. He probably went off for a run. I will see if I can find him in the morning. Now, come on, off you go to bed. I will tuck you in and even give you another good night kiss." He said as he wiggled his eyebrows. She blushed at the thought of his warm lips on her forehead, her cheeks, her lips, yet again this night. She shook her head to get rid of the very unbecoming thoughts that filled her head. Unbecoming, the word that her mother used to scold her.
"I-I can't. I had a nightmare." His face was instantly wiped off from his smug grin and one of genuine concern took his face.
"Do you want to talk about it, Rosie?" He merely whispered.
"I don't want to trouble you, Archer." She turned around to leave and he swiftly grabbed a hold of her elbow. "Wait, I want to show you something. It will take your breath away. I solemnly swear at that." He led her to the waterfall. Like literally, straight in to it.
Rosalynn took her arm out of his warm hands and jumped back, "Archer Kellan Anders, are you trying to kill me?" She shouted in clear outrage. He turned to her in wide eyes. "What? Oh. Waterfall. Shit. I forgot you're not a Were." He muttered the rest aside from the loud exclamation. {A/N:: Kellan pronounced as Keelan.} "Here, step carefully, there's moss on the rocks." Archer said as he carefully led her on from behind, ready to catch if she was about to fall.
Behind the waterfall, there was a small but wide enough to fit, pathway to a larger cave. He let loose of her hand and she physically felt the cold air replacing the warmth remnants of his hand. She clutched her hands closer to her to keep the lingering warmth there.
Archer brushed the little droplets of water from her scarlet hair and forehead, lovingly. "Come on Rosie, follow me. It's not that far from here." She followed him and also took the time to observe his half-naked body without tripping over little stumps, rocks, and roots. His broad, muscular frame was fully sculpted by hand. With every step he took, his back muscles visibly stretched. Archer didn't have the body of a body builder, but he clearly did look like he worked out.
"Ah, we're here." He said in a singsong voice and suddenly stopped in his track causing her to bump into his warm torso, slightly making Rosalynn blush at the contact. Archer used his hands to stabilize her and proceeded to show her. He couldn't wait to see her reaction.
Rosalynn approached the front and her breath slowed seeing the amazing sight in front of her. The cavern's inside was truly beautiful. The ceiling of it looked like it was was the night sky. A blanket of blue green stars. Crystal like stalagmites hung from the top. The light was filtered from it and was reflected all throughout that cave. "Wow." She caught her breath long enough to respond.
"You like it?" Archer smirked. "Y-yes, I have never seen anything so beautiful like this." She slowly whispered.
"Glad you like it. I hope you can sleep now." He bent down and whispered softly in her ear. Her eyes started fluttering fast as a heavy cloud of sleep came upon her. "W-what are you talking about?" She responded sleepily. He rubbed soothing, soft circles on her back.
"I have seen something much more beautiful than this, love. The angel that you are." His voice paused as he gathered his feelings and voiced, "Rosalynn Dana Myers, I am truly and utterly in love with you." She was lost to slumber before she heard his declaration.
