Raph's POV:
Lillie was on winter break and was home alone nearly everyday of the week. Therefore I carefully made my way to her house in broad daylight. Pulling open the back door I knocked, without hearing anything on the other side I quietly walked inside.
"Lillie?" I carefully look around each corner, looking for a family member.
"In here." Her voice coming from her bedroom. I find her curled up on her desk chair, reading a large book.
"Hey what cha readin?" My question is met by her pointer finger, pausing me.
I wait impatiently, this wasn't the first time and it wouldn't be the last time this happened. I would have to wait for her to find a natural stopping place, this is what happens when you date a bookworm.
Lillie finally looks up and sets her book down, not before marking it with a joker playing card. "What's up?" She asks.
"Nothing. What cha readin?" I ask again knowing what was coming.
I watch as her eyes light up, I could watch her eyes all day.
"Oo! Okay so it's a-" she then went off explaining her book to me. I chuckle sitting on her bed and watch her.
"So how's Mongoliad?"
"It's good." I say, I read because I loved seeing her face when she picked a book for me, or when we talked about a book.
"Okay, I haven't read it, but I had heard good things about it."
"So is Mongoliad a series?" Her eyes got even brighter.
"From what I've seen, it's a trilogy." Glancing up, "that means there are three books in the series." I loved how I didn't have to ask the meaning of something, she would just tell me and my pride was not hurt.
She showed me the other two books and added to my reading list that was a piece of notebook paper with book titles scribbled all over it.
"So how far are you in Mongoliad anyway?"
"A little before halfway," I answered honestly, between training, patrol and my brothers being annoying I didn't have a lot of time for reading.
"Okay, let me know when your done, return it then get ya the next one." She said checking her phone for any messages from her family.
"So how's life?" I ask, as usual a chuckle is rewarded.
"Decent, it's winter break and I've finished all my work assigned so I'm just spending my time reading and with my boyfriend. How's your life?"
"Decent, just training and patrol."
"Hey, what's this?" I pick up a birthday card.
"Oh yeah, my birthdays next week, January 7. "
"And you were going to tell me when?"
"Just did, didn't think it mattered." He shrugged.
"And making me look like a terrible boyfriend." He walked up to her.
"Your not that terrible." She said lacing her arms around my neck, standing on her toes.
"Good." I reply smirking, leaning in I bring our lips together.
I kiss her passionately, I do love her, we had known each other for about  ten months. Though I know she doesn't like to jump to things like that, from what she complains about in her reading.
Our breaths labor, and we finally break apart for air, picking her up by the waist, she presses her forehead to mine.
A smirk on her face, then we hear a car crunch on gravel. She sighs, and I place her to her feet. "See ya." She says as I open her window, "see ya." I say and give her one more kiss then jump, hearing the window close behind me.
Sliding into the sewers I start to realize something. I have a girlfriend. Her birthday is next week. I need a gift and a date. "Shit." I say and then race to my room ignoring Leo's glares.
Shutting the door, I lay on my bed and think. She wouldn't want some useless trinket, I need something meaningful.
"Perfect." I say as an idea strikes me in the shell. I quickly set to work.
