Happy Easter!
_______________________________It was the end of the school week, and I was slouched in class watching the clock tick away. 1:30pm, but I wasn't waiting for the day to finish at 3:30. It was the day of the play, and I've been consistently staying behind and rehearsing this past week, just for this. It was a welcome change; that the reason I don't leave on time is for extra-curricular activities and not for getting detentions. Perhaps, my next step would be to actually do my work instead of other things, such as watching the clock, or talking to myself in my head using that little reading voice that everyone has. Perhaps, one day.
Chara was on my side, head down, focused on her work, most likely because her new 'friend' Angel moved to the right of her. This whole lesson and every other, she's been asking endless questions, that are definitely not about what's on the board, and even though I never talked to her much before, it was interesting to see how she finally found something that allowed her to break out of her shell. Hey! That makes two of us.
Chara's POV
"So... Maths... pretty ungodly, right?"
I grunted aggressively. "Angel. If you make one more demon pun then I swear to God."
"I'm sorry!" She squealed. "I can't have made that many, can I?"
I began counting every instance of a bad joke in the past 3 days alone but my mind could only wander so far.
"Whatever. Just... eugh."
I found myself trying to continue the work as Angel began shuffling through her bag. I've missed so much information during lesson time, only because I'm brought out of class to organise everything, that they may as well take me off the register. The only reason I'm even working like a dog is so I can ace the upcoming test, which FYI, I haven't learnt much about since I only joined here 2 weeks ago!
"Ta da! Guess what I bought us!" Angel held two tickets for the play in her hand with an over-excited grin, but I just rolled my eyes with a groan.
"Great." I spoken sternly. "Who exactly is the 2nd ticket for?"
She flicked her hair. "For you, silly! Who else are you going to watch the play with?"
"The rest of the characters on stage?"
I let her think for a moment before she slowly put the tickets back in her bag, then I carried on solving equations. She didn't speak for the rest of the lesson, surprisingly.

I followed (Y/n) swiftly after class - more because he was a living reminder of where my next lessons were, than because I wanted to. That's what I tell myself, at least. He must've picked up on it after a while.
"Hanging out with one of your two friends again?"
I grinned. "Of course! I can't stand a moment without you."
We joked about it, but like J. Cole said, 'all good jokes contain true shit'. I guess I have Alphys to thank for all the hour long playlists she recommends me.
I walked through the corridor with him like usual, but this time I strongly felt like everyone was watching us.
"(Y/n)?" I whispered. "I don't like this."
He put his arm around me understandingly. It's not the first time he's had to, and it's definitely not the last, I just hope he realises how much it calms me down when he does it.
"What's up?"
"Everything. Why are they all looking at us?"
