Football

Jace's POV

It has been a day since Clary and I made out. I can only think that when I see her next she will be pissed at me. I also have football today with John, so it is going to be very awkward. I have been locked in my room all day because I really like Clary but knowing she would be mad at me is too much. I need to talk to her and soon before she thinks I don't care about her.

Clary's POV

It has been a day since I made out with Jace. Just in that hour I felt like I was free like I was doing something right for once. John has football today and I have to go with him because my dad his having a client over for work. My dad and I talked this morning about last night and he said as long as I don't lose my virginity till I am 18 which will happen in a few months he won't punish me, but he is leaving me off with a serious warning.

         John is going to football now and I am ready to go with my backpack for homework and sketching. "Clary come on I can't be late."  John is still mad at me about making out with Jace but we are getting better. When I get downstairs John rushes me out the door and to the car. The car ride to football was filled with an awkward silence. And when we got to the field John said " Okay so Jace is going to be here and I don't want you anywhere near him. And if you get close to him or if he gets to close to you I will know."  John can be unbelievable sometimes, it's not like I am going to make out with Jace in front of the entire football team. When we got out to the field John directed me to the stands and that is where I will spend the next 3 hours.

John's POV

I am trying my hardest to not throw this football right at Jace's head he keeps looking up at Clary in the stands who is doing homework innocently, I can't believe he would take advantage of such an innocent person. Last night keeps replaying in my mind. Jace has my sister up against a wall for God's sake!

Time skip to break

Jace's POV

It is break time and now is my time to talk to Clary, I kept looking over at her during practice she is so beautiful. I am now walking up to the bleachers to talk to her but suddenly John is there and asking me what the hell I am doing.  " Okay I am going to be honest I am going to apologize to Clary about last night. It was ruthless of me to do what I did, John I don't...I can't have her mad at me. John I really like Clary I can't have her think I hate her or regret last night because the angel knows I haven't wanted anyone as much as I want her. I want to ask her to be my girlfriend."  John seemed to be considering my apology and request and shook his head yes "Only if you treat her the way she deserves to be treated. You hurt her I hurt you." I shook my head yes and I thanked him and ran over to Clary. She was reading A Tale of Two Cities, also my favorite book. Here goes nothing...

Clary's POV

I was quietly reading A Tale of Two Cities when I heard someone clear their throat and I looked up to see Jace. I was in complete shock what if John sees us he will kill Jace, honestly! "Jace you can't be here John..." I broke off my sentence as he said "John actually wants me to talk to you." That is a shocker "Jace what do you want?" He took a seat next to me and grabbed my hands and put them in my lap. "Clary I wanted to apologize to you. What I did was selfish and mean and the worst part is not knowing if you are mad at me." How can he think this I loved last night John and my dad just had to ruin it. "Jace I am not mad at you and I really don't regret last night. I loved last night." The look on his face said complete and utter shock like he thought that I did regret last night and that I was mad at him. "Clary I like you I mean like I really really like you." I stayed silent laking in the fact that my crush likes me a lot. "Clary do you want to go out on a date sometime?" I thought about it and looked up to Jace to see a worried expression on his face. "Jace I would love to."  He looked now completely relaxed and looked me in the eye and said "Clary will you please be my girlfriend?"  I looked at him deep in the eye and all I saw was love and affection and then I knew that this boy might actually be a good person. "Jace I would absolutely be your girlfriend." He stood up and brought me up with him and embraced me and pulled back so I could see his face with the biggest smile on his face and he leaned down and brought my face to his and he kissed me right in front of the entire football team that all started to clap and talk about that Jace just asked the girl he has been obsessed with to be his girlfriend and she said yes.
