Clary's POV

Today I meet Jace's parents. I am wearing my silky dark red dress that goes a little below the knee. And my hair is half up half down.

Jace gets here and we kiss hello and and get in he car. When we get to Jace's parents house the wind is knocked out of me by how big their house is. When we finally get up the front stairs my legs are dead. When Jace's mother opens the door I am pretty sure I am panting. She laughs and says "Don't worry the first time up the stairs is always the worst." When we get to the kitchen which is right off the front hall the food is already out. "Wow Jace good choice. She is beautiful like you said but she meets beyond my expectations." I turn around and see a man that must be Jace's father. "Hello I am Stephen Herondale Jace's father and this is my lovely wife Celine Herondale Jace's mother. And what is your name sweetheart?" " I am Clarissa but everyone calls me Clary." He seemed to be thinking and he asked "What is your last name?" "It is Morgenstern. My father was..." I didn't get to finish because Stephen finished for me. "Your father is Valentine Morgenstern and your mother is Jocelyn Fairchild. I am sorry your parents split up. They truely loved each other when I last saw them." I smiled at the thought of my parents when I was young. They were happy. Celine then said "I am happy my son found such a lovely young women to date. So can I be expecting grandchildren from you two I think that they would look adorable." At that I was frozen and Jace choked on nothing. Then another voice came and said "Celine sweetheart, they are still so young. And I don't think I can be a great grandmother yet." The end she was laughing. "Grandma Imogen!" Jace ran to her and hugged her. "Well kids shall we eat?" Dinner was filled with questions not as many personal ones like my family asked but like the basics like what are your intentions with Jace, where do you want to go to collage etc etc. By the end of dinner I knew that Stephen was in a line of work with my father which probably explains why each has so much money. And that Celine was a model in her young ages and that Imogen was in a fashion business Izzy would love that.

Later before I left Stephen pulled me aside while Jace was talking to his mother. "I just wanted to say Clary. Thank you for making Jace so happy and please thank your mother for the advice she gave me many years ago to ask out Celine. Because if it weren't for her I wouldn't have Celine nor Jace and in the future I wouldn't have grandkids and Jace wouldn't have kids. Also you wouldn't have Jace. So thank you." I smiled and told him I would tell her. After that Jace took me home. We kissed goodnight and went separate ways. I love Jace and forever will.
