Chapter Nine - Love

          

3 years later Edmund and Georgiana = 16

----3rd Person---

Today was the day for Edmund. It was the day the he would finally admit his feelings. It had been three years since their start of their reign. You see ever since they met he has felt something different that when he looked at his siblings, he guess he was grateful for her being there and standing up for him when he needed but didn't deserve. Then at the coronation she had looked like the prettiest girl in the whole room and he thought no one compared. When he saw her storm of that night and never return he wanted to go after her but as King he was being pulled here there and everywhere. He figured rather than saying anything then he would let them all get comfortable in their new surroundings and roles.

Edmund didn't know if it was just him because he could swear that the past six months she had been flirting with him. He had hoped it wasn't his imagination and now that she was settled and safe. Georgiana had come more out of her shell no longer did she shy away from Lucy's bear hugs or Peter and Susan's conversation. She was their protector and made sure they and everyone else knew not to mess with them. After one instance of a battle that happened after the coronation Georgiana has been given a Duchess title.  She now had a long title when people announced her she was now Lady Georgiana, Duchess of Beruna and Knight of Narnia.

I walked through the halls of the castle heading towards the east where I knew Georgie would be coming in from her daily ride soon. When I finally reached the entrance I saw her riding up the river as it lead out onto the sea.

"Oh Hello Edmund" she smiled

"Hey Georgie" when she reached dry land she stopped and swung down from Aria.

"Is something wrong?" she asked biting her lip

"Oh no I was just wondering if we could talk" she went back to smiling and I must say she was extra beautiful when she smiled.

"Of course I just need to take Aria back to the stable then why don't we sit in the library its empty this time of day" she offered

"Sure" we walked Aria back to the stable where Georgie took care of her and made sure she was fed and watered. Before we went to the library like she said it was empty so we found two seats near a window.

"What did you want to speak to me about?" she asked un doing her hair and shaking it. I was quite mesmerised. Okay i have got it bad.

"Edmund?" 

"Oh right yes. well um for the past six months I've noticed something....well something different" i started

"Is it to do with one of your sisters or Peter?"

"No it's...it's to do with you actually"

"Me?" I nodded

"I could about to make and absolute fool of myself but i think with the way you've been acting. Well it's kind of lead me to take the plunge....Georgiana I think I'm...falling in love you" I admit. she freezes doesn't move and doesn't say anything.

"Georgie...Georgie....Georgiana!" she jumps and her eyes come back into focus.

"Me why would you be falling in love with me I'm not a Princess or anyone special" she chuckles nervously and looks at the books around. I take her hand and she looks at me.

"But you are, to me and well to all of us but more to me"

"You could have anyone you want and fall for anyone you wish but your saying its me...Did Lucy and Susan put you up to this?" she scowled

"No! Georgiana this is not trick, no test, no strings. I felt something for you for  Three years  and at first I thought it maybe because i was grateful but then I started wanting to see little things you do like un braiding your hair and shaking it. Then six months ago when i could have sworn you started flirting..."

"Damn I thought I was being sneaky" she muttered

"Georgie were you flirting with me?" she shifted uncomfortable

"I might have been...Do you remember at the battle of Ettinsmoor where i was too busy fighting to notice one of the witches hags was about to kill me. Then you came in all King like literally saved me at the last minute." i nodded

"Well when I got back i got me thinking. I had been in so many fights and had some close calls but never like that. It sort of crept out of nowhere and I didn't know if it was because you saved me or if it was because I had only just started noticing these feelings. But it was strange because if I would look at someone say Peter i saw a best friend, King and general pain in the arse" i laughed

"It was somewhat the same for Susan and Lucy minus the pain in the arse and King obviously. But then i looked at you and you'd do the most innocent thing and smile at me. I told Lucy and Susan and the automatically suggested that i was in love. I didn't want to believe at first but then something my Dad said rang in my mind. Both he and Mum felt that connection that Eureka moment where they were in love every little thing they just found...adorable i guess you could say."

"So are you admitting your in love with me" I must of given a goofy smile because she hit my arm

"Don't get so cocky...but yes you could say I'm in love with you. But it doesn't mean I'll go all doe eye'd and not call you out when you're wrong." she pointed at me

"I'd think you were seriously ill if you didn't" she laughed shaking her head

"okay the Lady Georgiana, Duchess of Beruna and Knight of Narnia would you allow me to court you"

"you had to go there with the full title didn't you" he covers her eyes i laughed . she didn't like it being said cause it's such a mouth full

"well My Lady Georgie"

"yes you can court me as long as you don't tease me about that Long title"

"okay I promise"
