Burned

You were laying on a log near the fire pit, relaxing after you had just finished all of your work. You were done for the day, and free to do as you pleased. It was only after lunchtime, so you had quite a few hours to have to yourself. You were staring up at the sky, when it suddenly started to get dark as if the sun was covered in clouds. You looked, and no, it was still shining. "HI Y/N!" you heard a loud bubbly voice shout, which startled you and you fell off the log. You sat up and looked over to see the one and only, shortest sister of them all, Peggy.

"Hi, Peggy." You'd say while standing up and brushing the dirt and grass off your uniform.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you!" She'd say, apologetically. You'd shake your head.

"You're fine, Peggy! What are you doing here?" You'd ask, confused. You'd look around her and see Angelica and Eliza rushing up behind her.

"Peggy! I told you to wait until we were finished talking!" Angelica would scold.

"Sorry, I was just so excited!" She'd chirp while jumping up and down.

"What are you guys doing here?" You'd ask as you brushed grass and dirt off your back.

"We decided to come for a visit. We wanted to see the camp!" Eliza would say in her usual sweet voice.

"Can we see the camp? Pleaseeeeee!" Peggy would beg while jumping up and down.

"I'm not busy, so I don't see why not." You'd say with a shrug and a smile.

You had a great day showing the sisters around camp, and you all took a break near the campfire. You all were chatting with some of the tourist visitors, and Eliza met another girl who will start attending the same school as you both. Her name was Maria Renoylds, and Eliza really seemed to like her. Once Maria left, you all teased her about it. She was mad blushing!

Later, you all went to your tent, and spent the last hour giggling and gossiping. You heard the tent flap open and you heard a certain group of boys scramble in.

"Hello, ladies." Herc would say, acting like a gentleman.

"Give up, Herc. They're my girls." You'd say as you grabbed them and pulled them close to you.

"YEAH, GIVE UP, HERC!" Peggy would shout. You'd all laugh.

"She learns fast." Eliza would say while laughing.

"I was only saying hello." Herc would shoot.

"You say 'hello' to a lot of girls then." You'd say, shooting back.

Lafayette, Alexander, and Laurens would all start laughing at Herc.

"THAT WAS GOOD." Laurens would yell while laughing.

"Poor Herc got BURNED!" Alex would shout.

"You tried, mon ami." Lafayette would say while patting Herc on the back and laughing.

"We should probably head back now." Angelica would say standing up.

You escorted the girls out of camp, hugged them, pulled Peggy off you because she didn't want to leave, and then they walked home. You'd wave to them as they left, and you spent the rest of the night singing songs at the campfire with the boys.
