Back to War

You got back to camp, a little earlier than Lee. Maybe, 5 minutes before him? Yeah, no. You're not taking any chances. You'd quickly dismount Amerigo, and tie him up so he doesn't run away, then you'd quickly scurry off to Washington's tent, just as you saw Lee getting back.

You'd wait outside the tent until Washington said it was okay to enter. "Come in, Y/N." You'd hear his shout from the inside. You'd push aside the tent flap and walk in. "I've finished my deliveries, sir." He'd finish writing something then put his pen down. "Good, we have a battle reenactment in about half an hour, so go and get ready." You'd nod, and walk out of the tent.

About an hour later, everyone was lined up and ready to start marching.  You were waiting near Amerigo, drinking a lot of water because last time there was a battle reenactment, and you had to ride down the street yelling, your voice was so sore after. Washington walked up to you. "Are you ready?" He'd ask while he adjusted his hat. You'd nod. "Good. For your safety, Jefferson will be waiting for you at the battlefield, PLEASE stay with him, and don't stray away from him." You'd give another nod in response. "Yes, sir." You'd let out a sigh of relief, thankful you'd have someone with you. "Alright, start riding and we'll follow." Washington would say before walking off. You'd grab onto Amerigo's saddle, and hoist yourself up, throwing your leg over. You'd adjust yourself in the saddle, and made sure your saber was clipped on correctly, etc. You'd put on your hat, and start riding off to town.

"THE REBELLION HAS ARRIVED, PREPARE FOR BATTLE!" You'd shout over, and over, as you pointed your saber in the air, and rode Amerigo quickly down the streets of Gettysburg, Washington and his troops following behind you. People watching the reenactment lined up along the sidewalks, cheering as you rode through, and Washington rode through with his troops. You'd get to the battlefield, and immediately notice the Redcoat general. A flash of purple could be seen in the corner of your eye, and you'd quickly ride over to it.

"Hey, Thomas. Thanks for being here." You'd say as you rode up next to him, dismounting once you reached his side. He didn't say anything. He was just staring at the redcoat general and growling.

"Thomas? Hellooooooooooooooooooo?" You'd say, waving your saber in front of his face. He'd shake his head as he finally noticed you.

"Sorry, Y/N. Didn't notice you at first." He'd say looking down at you for a second, then looking back at the redcoat general. You'd sigh.

"Don't even look at him, just ignore him." You'd say tapping Thomas on the head with the flat side of the saber. He'd sigh.

"Sorry, it's just hard not to be angry after what happe-" You'd stop him by hitting him with your saber again.

"Don't even talk about it. Forget about it for now." You'd say as you put your saber back into it's sheath. He'd nod and watch all of the soldiers entering the field instead. The rest of the reenactment, you drank your water and watched the battle with Thomas.
