MALORY P.O.V

 

I refused to turn and look Konrad. I didn’t want to see the conceited look on his face. Both the brothers have fooled me.

It was stupid of me to trust Ruben and fight for him. Thinking he deserves a chance, I had fought with my mate for him. My wolf growled inside me and wanted to be let out so that she could kill both the brothers.

“Hello Luna” Konrad said from behind me and there was a rustling of leaves.  My breath got hitched in my throat and the hair in the back of my neck stood up when I felt him standing right behind me, “I hope you missed me” he spoke near my ears and I gulped.

My chest was heaving up and down in fear and I was staring at my own feet. However my eyes were blurry with tears.

“I thought you would be dead but the pathetic losers that I sent didn’t kill you. So I shifted to plan B” he said and I closed my eyes shut. Tears rolled down my cheeks when I heard his words. I knew well and good what his plan B was. “My big brother here was very helpful in Plan B” he said and I gulped.

I slowly dared and stared at Ruben but my vision was blurry. I didn’t want to cry in front of either of them but it was impossible to stop my tears. I’ve never been betrayed like this by anyone I trusted. It hurt a lot. I didn’t offer any confinement as my wolf howled loudly inside me to connect to her mate. She wanted him to know we are in trouble. Deep, deep trouble.

I blinked and the tears dripped from my eyes and rolled down my cheeks. When my vision was clear, I was surprised to see that Ruben didn’t have a smug look on his face like I expected him to have. Instead he was glaring at his brother. His hands were clamped in a tight fist and his jaws were clenched.

I blinked again and looked at him.

“I should Thank-you bro. Dad would have been proud of you. Having contact with enemy’s Luna and meeting in secret. Hat’s off” Konrad said to his brother clapping his hands. The sound of those claps was like a slap to my face. Ruben had told him about our meeting here and I felt nauseated at this realization.

“Shut-up Konrad” Ruben hissed through gritted teeth and I was taken aback to hear that tone. “What the fuck are you doing here?” Ruben asked his little brother in a growl.

Wait a second, Ruben sounded rude towards his own brother. His tone was animalistic and this was the first time I was seeing Ruben like this. He definitely didn’t look friendly now. Does that mean, he didn’t help his brother?

“I think I already said that I came here to kill her” Konrad said nonchalantly. A loud growl came from Ruben when Konrad completed his sentence and I finally turned to look at Konrad. He was standing beside me, pointing his thumb towards me. The corner of his full lips tilted upwards and his green eyes turned dark every passing second. I gasped as I saw two samurai swords on his back.
