Warning: The Rise of Skywalker Spoilers.

A/N: Ben's death crushed me in the theater, I was sobbing. Like with Han, Luke and Leia's deaths I was crying but Ben dying ripped out my heart. My hero is dead. Screw you, JJ Abrams, where is my satisfying ending that you promised. #BenSoloDeservedBetter

So, this fix-it fic starts during Ben's redemption scene.

Narrator's POV

Kylo Ren stared at the wild waves surrounding the Second Death Star's remains, wondering how to get off this moon now that Rey stole his TIE Fighter.

But, more pressingly, he felt the emptiness in the Force that had once held his mother. She was gone.

A voice spoke behind him, one familiar and warm, "Hey, kid."

Kylo turned around and faced his father, weakly saying, "You're only a memory."

A tired smile graced Han's face, "Your memory."

"Your son is dead." Kylo weakly said, not believing his own words

"No." Han replied, walking closer, "Kylo Ren is dead, my son is alive."

"But she's gone." Ben muttered, almost inaudibly

"But what she stood for is alive." Han comforted, now only a few inches away

Ben took a shuddered breath, "I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength to do it."

Han's smile gained a trueness as his hand caressed Ben's face, the scar gone, "You do, but first, there is someone else who wants to talk to you."

Ben looked confused as Han disappeared, the waves behind him booming as another form appeared.

The Force ghost was of a young man with wild light colored hair and he had a scar across his eye as well as dark colored Jedi robes, Ben didn't recognize him but at the same time he knew exactly who this was: his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker.

His grandfather smiled at him, "Hello, Ben."

"Why are you here?" Ben asked

"I've been watching you, Ben, watched as you idolized my mistakes. I've tried to appear to you, but the Force wouldn't let me until now." Anakin said, chilling slightly at the end, "We've been redeemed at the same place, kid, I guess it's true that history loves to repeat itself. But that's not why I'm here."

"The why are you here?" Ben asked

"Rey's in danger, Palpatine is trying to turn her to the Dark Side as he did us." Anakin explained

"I need to get to Exogol, but how?" Ben asked

Anakin smirked, "That's where I come in."

He raised his hand towards the other end of the ruins, his eyes closing as he focused on something.

Out of the water and the ruins, TIE fighters of all varieties floated up and separated all the parts.

Parts that were ruined, wrong or waterlogged fell back into the sea, but good parts remained until one functioning TIE fighter was only twenty feet away.

But Anakin wasn't done yet, instead, he pointed his hand towards the throne room and something zoomed towards them: a purple Kyber Crystal.

Instantly, Ben knew what to do, he reached for his lightsaber and removed his fragmented crystal, glancing down at it as he then threw it into the sea, killing Kylo Ren for good.
