AU: AU for my AU 😆. Basically what would have happened in my story, "A King's Queen" if Lily and James didn't have their heads up their asses and thought.

Narrator's POV
As Lily began to sacrifice her baby's happiness for "the greater good" by saying those exact words, she looked into the infant's beautiful emerald green eyes, she began to have second thoughts.
"You are never truly happy without your soulmate." Rang in her mind
"Wait." Lily said, wanting to shout but didn't to not wake the sleeping baby, "I can't make Harry suffer, there has to be something else we can do, Albus."
"The only other thing would be a treaty between the sides, but that would be a long shot since Tom is insane." Albus replied
"Then try." Lily demanded, "I want my baby to be happy, and if you don't even try for peace then we'll just have to leave your side."
James nodded in agreement, "Please, just try, Albus."
Albus relented, finding a quill and parchment and began to write a truce to the Dark Lord.
Watching from the sidelines, Remus and Sirius smiled at the sight of the peace they had craved.
As Albus finished writing the offer, he tied it to the Potter Family owl, "Take this to Voldemort."
***
In the office inside of Riddle Manor, the Dark Lord was writing plans for the Death Eater's next raid when there was a sudden tap at his window.
Looking up, he saw an owl tapping on the window, opening said window, the owl flew onto his desk and held out his leg.
Voldemort was quick to untie the letter and read it, it read:
"Dear Tom,
I invite you to Hogwarts tomorrow afternoon at 3pm to discuss a peace treaty to end the war.
If you do not arrive by 3:30, I will assume you do not wish for peace and will continue to fight, I will not stop either.
But know, we have your soulmate, he was born a few minutes ago to Lily and James Potter.
I ask you to at least hear me out, for Harry's sake."
From, Albus Dumbledore."
Looking at his wrist, Lord Voldemort read the name on his wrist over and over again.
Harry was born, he was alive...and in enemy hands.
Running his right hand through his hair, he pulled out a blank sheet of parchment from a drawer and refilled his quill, writing the acceptance of the offer.

The next day, by midnight, Albus and Tom sat in the former's office at Hogwarts, still discussing the terms of their treaty.
Death Eaters Bellatrix LeStrange, Evan Rosier, and Barty Crouch Jr. had come with their master to insure that the offer wasn't a trick.
When the treaty was complete, the agreements were simple: creatures would be accepted; Magic would have less restrictions and rules, but some things still would be regulated; Hogwarts would teach both Dark and Light Magic; the Minister must always be a Grey witch or wizard; etc.
Walking out of the office after he signed both of his names in agreement, Voldemort found Lily and James Potter outside in the hallway, baby Harry in Lily's arms and James standing defensively in front of his wife and child.
James looked up to the somewhat taller man, "I imagine you'll want to see him."
"Of course." Voldemort replied, causing James to move aside
Voldemort walked forward, approaching the mother-child pair, looking at his soulmate for the first time.
Harry had black hair and the most beautiful 'Killing Curse' green eyes, giggling when said eyes landed in his soulmate.
Lily smiled at her newborn, but her freckled face became neutral as she looked up to her child's soulmate, "Do you want to hold him?"
"Of course, I do." Voldemort replied, carefully taking the infant from her
Once settled in his soulmate's arms, the infant started to uncontrollably giggle, making everyone in the room feel like they made the right choice.
***
Over the course of the next fifteen years, James Potter noticed something truly extraordinary: the Dark Lord was courting his eldest son.
Giving Harry gifts for no reason often, surprising Harry with trips around the world at random, and things like that all time to the point James didn't see his eldest child for weeks at a time.
His other three children, Ellen, Rose, and Charlus, were jealous of their older brother and all the affection he received from his soulmate.
But James couldn't help but to smile as he watched Voldemort —who Harry exclusively could call Tom— whisked Harry away to Italy for the remaining two weeks of the summer.
Whatever the soulmates did in the foreign country he didn't know, but the elder of the pair did approach him for his blessing for Harry's hand in marriage so he had an idea.
And, when the couple returned, he wasn't very surprised when Harry's left ring finger now held a gold ring that had a black stone on its center.
