Melanie came into the house then glared at Avery. She raised an eyebrow while slowly pacing to her.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
She was calm. Her face was only inches away from Melanie's.
"I was just talkin' to Eric about Bryson." Avery replied calmly.
Melanie moved Avery's hair out of her face then smirked.
"Coming from upstairs??" She paced around Avery in cirlces.
"Yeah, I had to use the bathroom."
She watched her closely to make sure she didn't do anything crazy.
"Where's Eric then?"
"He's......"
Before Avery could reply, Eric came stomping in from the back door.
"Oh hey Mels. Glad you're home. I was just finishing up some yardwork." He smiled and wiped the sweat off his forehead.
Avery wanted to know how he made it outside so fast but she didn't have time to ask.
"You were??" Melanie placed her hands on her lips.
He nodded then wrapped his arms around her waist. "I missed you."
Avery made her way passed him, going to the front door. That's when she felt eyes watching her.
She turned around to see Eric hugging his wife and winking at her....

{Koi was in the living playing games with Bryson and said. Doebi was in bed sleeping because she was now in the stage of always feeling tired. Donna was off to work as usual, her absence was starting to become common. Avery strolled into the house casually, Koi paused then glared at her.}
"Bryson, Sadie you guys go upstairs to Bryson's room and play. I need to talk to Avery." She stood up, not taking her eyes off her.
Both of children did as they were told.
Avery sighed as Koi paced to her with her hands in her pockets.
She had on gray sweats and a black tank top with a gold chain around her neck.
"Damn..." Avery said under her breath, admiring how good she looked.
Koi chuckled smoothly. "That shit works on Donna and Doebi but you know it doesn't work on me. So tell me, where were you??"
Avery could feel her face going pale while trying to think up a lie or tell her.
Yeah, she was the bad one but Koi was worse.
Koi is the type of person that's fun and easy to get along with but if you cross her wrong, that's yo ass.
"Hm??" She got closer to her, biting her bottom lips.
"I-I just needed some air so I took my car and went for a walk around the park. I went back in my chair, I was sitting and thinking. I lost track of time. I fell asleepm" Avery retorted, looking down.
She couldn't take the way Koi was looking at her.
"With your phone off??" Koi lifted her head up.
Avery nodded. "I wanted to shut everyone out."
Koi dropped her hand from her face, processing her thoughts.
Suddenly, she wrapped her hands around Avery's throat and anger shot through her like drugs in her veins.
Avery gasped with shock. She never seen this side of Koi towards.
"You fuckin' me over bro?? After all I did for you? Huh? Is that how it is? I expected this out the other two but not you... and you were my homie at first." Koi said calmy as she squeezed her throat.
"K-Koi, y-you're ccccc-choking me!"
Avery's face started to turn red as she struggled to break away from her grip.
Koi laughed, gazing into her eyes.
"I can't let you do this to me. No, I love you too much. Don't let me find out you cheated.... It's not gonna be pretty." She loosened her grip.
Avery sighed with relief then looked back at her.
"I'm sorry... You gotta believe me on this one Koi. I didn't cheat." Avery nodded.
Koi ran her fingers through Avery's hair and smiled.
"I believe you... for now. Hope you don't disappoint me." She softly kissed her neck.
"Mm.. I won't." She lied. "Kids are upstairs."
"I know. I'm not gonna do anything else. Besides, Donna is still doing clients and Doebi is sleeping." She pulled away.
"Doebi is always sleeping. Is she sick??" Avery sat on the couch next to Koi.
"She's just tired. Working with kids ain't easy, even if it's part time." Koi replied, making an excuse for her.
Avery nodded. "That's true."
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get that."
Avery got up and scurried to the door. When she opened the door, there was a short light skinned girl with a big pregnant belly standing in front of her.
"Uhh... you looking for somebody." Avery asked, examining the girl.
She was beautiful. Her eyes were dark, bold, and chinky. A curly ponytail sat up top of her head.
There was a black mole like Marilyn Monroe over her lip.
"Yeah, I'm looking for Donna. She hasn't been replying to my calls and it's been months." The girl replied, putting her hands on her round pregnant belly.
"You need a makeup appointment or something??"
The girl shook her head. "I got natural beauty, what I need that for. I wanna know if Donna is here."
"Who is that??" Koi came to the door.
"What's the problem??"
"There's no problem, I just wanna talk to Donna. Is she here?"
Koi slightly gaped at her. "Nah, she's not. What's up?? We're her girlfriends."
The girl's eyes widen then she smirked. "Oh really??"
"Yes. We'll be happy to take a message for her. What's your name??"
She turned her stomach. "My name is A'Caiciah but they call me Shanghai and you tell Donna to call me when she gets a chance. It's about her son that's on the way."
Koi looked at Avery.
Avery looked at Koi.
"Did you just hear what she just said?" Koi coughed.
Avery didn't say a word.
"Oh shit...." Koi knew Avery was pissed.
For some reason, she was a bit more protective and crazy over Donna than Koi and Doebi.
Shanghai handed Koi her number then smiled. "I got my number changed today. Make sure you give that to Donna when she gets home. It was nice meeting you guys."
She walked off with this mischievous smirk on her face.
Koi closed then looked at Avery once again.
"Avery??"
"Hm??"
"You good bro?"
Avery nodded then went into the kitchen.
Koi threw the number on the coffee table and sat on the couch; sighing.
"Fuck..." She said under her breath, placing both of her hands on her head.
