[Arabella]

"So, your friend is finally warming up to the Betas?" Luke smiled. I had never really noticed his dimple (or lip ring) until then.

"I guess." I laughed.

He pointed at Calum and Pandora who were sitting down on her beach towel, "Looks like she's warmed up to Cal."

"Surprise, surprise." I smiled, "Is it bad I ship them harder than I do with her own boyfriend?"

"Not my OTP, but definitely a favorite." He smiled, walking along the beach with me.

"You can have multiple OTPs."

"Oh really?"

"I have lots."

"I have one."

"Who and who?"

"It, uh, isn't real." He panicked, trying to conceal his feelings. It was obvious, even I could figure out that he had a crush on me.

"Is it between real people?"

"Yeah but I don't know how the girl feels toward the boy." He shrugged, "I hope the girl likes him."

"She probably does." I said, deciding to drop better hints, "So who is it?"

"Uh..."

I looked up at him, "Secret?"

"Kind of?" He said.

"Does she know?"

"She seems to flirt back, but I don't know." he said, flipping his sunglasses down.

"She probably likes him." I said, flipping my sunglasses down as well. I secretively glanced at his shirtless figure and bit my lip.

"So what are some of your OTPs?" he asked.

"Brace yourself," I laughed, "My OTPs are: Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, Larry Stylinson, Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters, Pudge and Alaska, the couple from The Notebook, Cal and Pandora, and I hardcore ship myself with pizza."

"That was seven, and the last one didn't count!" he giggled.

We slowed down and walked closer along the shoreline where the sand was wet and packed tightly.

"Maybe I really love pizza!" I laughed.

"Fine," he said, "But do you like the water?"

"Why?" I asked. He picked me up as if I were his bride and he began running into the freezing Pacific Ocean.

"Put me down!" I squealed, the water misting me.

He laughed, "If I put you down, the water will be at the bottom of your ribcage."

"Shit, Luke don't go too far out!" I yelled.

"Calm down."

"Haven't you ever heard of riptides?"

"Don't worry, we'll either drown together or I'll save you." he laughed.

"How comforting." I laughed. He walked a few steps farther and put me down.

"Here, hold my hand and we won't get killed."

I smiled, "Are you sure this isn't just some attempt to hold my hand?"

"It might be." he said, looking at the sun.

"Good, because it's working." I laughed, taking his hand. He looked down at the water as if he couldn't believe what was happening. I intertwined my fingers with his and raised our hand. He smiled and I put our hands down.
