The Other Sister

First Day

"Lucy!" I call out while I walk with Ana towards the principal's office.

Lucy smirked, "What's with the pony onesie?"

I smiled, "I couldn't find my Bunny onesie!" I walked towards her, "So how are you today?"

"Great, you?"

"Awesome."

"Aunt Ivy was going to be late?" she guess.

"Uhuh."

"Okay, the principal, Dr. Wolff, is in her office. I'll wait out here."

I walked in the principal's office with Ana, an woman in red stood with her back against us. "Ms. Belfrey, condolences to you and your sister, Ivy."

"Dr. Wolff, hello." I greet. "This is Ana, Ivy's daughter…"

She smiles. "Ivy had a daughter?"

"Yeah." I reply. "And I am here to enroll her to this fine educational institution."

"Well, I assume you have knowledge of how we enter students here? We can't just let her in without a family interview…"

"You see, Dr. Wolff, we already have Lucy enrolled here and Ms. Wolff had already interviewed both my sisters and mother… I think we both know that Ivy is capable of running a business and making sure that her daughter stays in school it runs in my family…"

"Ok ok fine, so I assume she can name the first president of the US?"

"George Washington, of course!" Ana replies.

Thank goodness we prepped her for the entrance exam a week before!

"Alright, Ms. Belfrey you are in!" Dr. Wolff said shaking hands with Ana and I, "I assume you'd like her to be in the same classes as Lucy, am I right?"

I nodded.

"Follow me, please." she smiles, as she grabs the paper from the printer; handing it to Ana. "Your schedule."

We followed Dr. Wolff out her office, Lucy stood and followed us towards Ms. Lawrence's classroom. The principal knocks on the door, "Ms. Lawrence, I hope I'm not interrupting."

"No, of course not, Dr. Wolff." the teacher shook her head.

"I would like to introduce you to Ms. Ana Belfrey. She'll be in your first period English 1 Class with her cousin."

"Is it okay that I leave now?" I ask Ana.

"Yes."

"Be good, you two." I wave, "Either Jacinda, Ivy, or I will pick you both up unless you get a text from Ivy telling you that Robyn will have to pick you two up, do not understand any circumstances to with anyone."

I leave and drove to the bar, held my breathe expecting Roni or Kelly to yell at me for being late.
*Dr. Wolff is Granny and Ms. Lawrence is Dorothy. Btw, Lawrence is a place in Kansas. Lucy skipped a couple of grades so in this story she's in highschool with Anastasia.
