I was walking with Jacinda towards Roni's.

"So I'll see you later after my shift..." Jacinda turns to me.

"I would say that I would help but..."

"I know, I know Victoria." Jacinda puts her hand on my shoulder, "She doesn't want you going here..."

"Yeah." I nod, "I have to go before Ivy kills me for being late. Bye J."

I ran to the Belfrey Tower and as I exited the elevator, I noticed something weird: Ivy wasn't at her desk but the security cam was on in the elevator. Paused to mother riding it, I was shocked when I played it, it showed Ivy was in there and then she disappeared like mother did.

"Where's Ivy?" Mother asked.

"She went to pick up Lucy," I lied, "a bug is going around... so I had Ivy pick Lucy up but I guess Lucy didn't want to miss out on her education so she stayed but traffic jam..."

"Ah yes!" mother exasperates.

The elevator door open and Ivy came out. "Ivy, how's Lucy?"

"Fine, mother." Ivy states, "I haven't seen her since I dropped her off this morning."

"You mean... the school principal told you that Lucy was fine?" I wink at Ivy.

"Yeah," Ivy nods, "that's what I meant Lucy is fine it was just a scra-"

"A bug." I correct.

"I don't know what's going on here," mother looks between Ivy and I, "and frankly I don't care to find out as long as Lucy is safe." she strutted in her office, "Oh and Ivy be a dear and call Weaver for me."

As Ivy sat down on her desk and contacts Weaver, I followed mother to her office. "Mother, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Sure, darling." she smiles, "Sit and let's chat. I can't remember the last time we chatted."

I watched her.

"So darling, what do you wanna talk about?"

"Ivy, mother, I want to talk about Ivy."

"What has that needy little girl done now?!"

"Nothing, mother." I sigh, "And that's exactly what I wanna talk about." "How you treat her, Jacinda, and I are very different. You treat Jacinda harshly and I get that... you're showing her how to survive. But Ivy... you don't show her appreciation, she has done nothing but obey you... trying so hard to earn your love. Mother, I know you treat me well but you have to realize Ivy is your real daughter."
