The air was light as it breezed over our faces. Ray and I laid out on my old trampoline, as we did everyday after school. My parents didn't get home until 6 and asking as ray was home by 6 we where fine.
"So Clarisa..." Ray said capturing my attention.
"Yeah" I sighed.
"Do you ever think about your future?" he asked. I turned my head and looked at him he was squinting into the sky thinking. I turned my head back a closed my eyes.
"What about it?" I asked.
"Like how many kids you want or who you're going to marry?" he said.
I didn't move. "I know who I want to marry." I smiled.
"Who? Leonardo DiCaprio?" he asked.
I laughed and shook my head. "No silly. This is someone I've know for a long time. he has dark handsome hair and deep brown eyes that are sadly always hidden by his glasses but it if he didn't wear them he wouldn't be able to see shit." I felt my cheeks go slightly red. I felt the trampoline move and I opened one eye to see ray propped up on his elbow. "And his name is ray" I smiled. "And I love him. In a 'more than best friend' way." My smile widened.
Then ray cupped my cheek and kissed me. I opened my eyes in surprise but them smiled into the kiss while closing them. "I love you in a 'more than best friend' way." He smiled a stared into his eyes and he did the same back.
"Good." I said and kissed him again. He kissed back and be stayed by each other's side for the next hour.
