"So, Ryder and Jax are in the game too...?" Zane asked, following Ein.
"Yep. I thought it'd make the game fair."
"Oh..." Zane frowned. "Are you leaving tonight...?"
"Yep. I'll be gone for four days, so don't do anything bad while I'm gone."
"Why...?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why four days...?"
"Well, Ryder, Jax, and I are going to be keeping an eye on our other players."
"Oh..." Zane nodded. "Be careful..."
"I will." Ein turned around, planting a kiss on Zane's forehead. "Have fun."
Ein left the hotel, leaving the boy all alone.
Zane rushed upstairs, heading into his room. He opened his jewelry box, taking out his only necklace.
A locket that he held for years.
