- 4 years later -
he couldn't move on.
he tried. oh god, he did.
pubs. dating sites.
it was useless.
taehyung.
everything was taehyung.
no woman nor man could live to his high standards. his standard of the broken angel he had allowed to slip away.
and slowly he begun to accept it.
accept that maybe he would never move on from the man he had broken.
but now he stands before the polished stone, curly letters splaying over the grave, his tears dry against his face.
"taehyung."
there was no answer.
he had been foolish to yearn for one, for taehyung.
taehyung was dead.
and he would never return to his arms, his cheeks tinted with a red hue as he snuggles into jungkook's form chest, slender fingers curling at his shirt.
the guilt was eating him alive.
there wasn't a minute in which he wouldn't remember taehyung's body smile, fading into his pained grin, teary eyes looking up at him.
"i miss you."
his words linger in the air, fondling the gravestone as if prodding for acceptance.
and then, a gust of wind shivers into the silent cemetery, slithering across the cracked paths, as it blows softly against the spot where jungkook is kneeling.
something, something tells him that it's taehyung.
something about the gentle caress of the wind against his hair, strands of brown tossed amongst the childish gusts reminds jungkook of him.
midnight eyes glass over, a single tear escaping the barrier of fragile glass, slipping quietly below his cheeks.
"taehyung?"he croaks out, calloused fingers pinching blindly before him, "i-is that y-you?"
the soft whispers against his ear, tickling the hairs at the back of his neck is his answer.
raw sobs fall from his lips, cheeks moistening as he emits loud, ugly wails, arms grasping hopelessly before him.
"i-i'm sorry!"he cries, desperation thick in his tone, "i'm s-sorry! please t-tae...comes e b-back to me."
silence.
he was a liar.
and liars are never forgiven.
The End
