Fallen Chains

It was a beautiful day, I was late as always.
I followed her into the woods so we went,
Trekking and listening to music our time was spent.
Soon, we went to the view.
Memories flew, beautiful as always as I could see.
Then I climbed down, back we trekked.
I said I wanted to run, she said I could.
I ran ahead, stopped for a second.
Changed the music to you say run.
And so I dashed, feeling the speed glimmer through my eyes like a change.
I couldn't slow down, and I literally yanked the chain.
Falling and falling, it came intensely.
I tried to stop, but it happened I slammed.
The rocks pelted into my body, it hurt like no other.
I lay there, fingers curled, thinking of my friends and I together.
The music continued to play, mocking me in my bane. As I had fallen, my chest ached.
My legs curled into a ball, I didn't call for help.
I lay there, staring at the sky.
The light filling my eyes.
Feeling like ten minutes, though only two.
She came around, helped me up to her.
The moment you can become a hero came on.
A new feeling dawned as I stood up and walked on.
Scabs and pain on my body, elbows burning of pain.
I had to lay down and I felt insane.
Could it ever be a wonder though, I let the music play.
Sooner or later my arms were healed.
My body was stronger today.
