VAEGON is second in line to a throne that his family no longer posses. He loathes his elder brother, Viserys, who has done nothing but reign with fear over he and his younger sister's lives since they were old enough to remember. They have always been runways that found refuge in the Free Cities of Essos, going from one host to another, year after year, until they grew tired of the noble's empty promises.
They were nothing more than the lingering ghost of a once strong dynasty. Beggars, no better than the streets they roamed. At one point, the desperate trio were forced to sell their last possession, their mother's crown, to survive. Along with trying to carve out their survival, their lives remained in jeopardy as the Usurper dispatched assassins to discard of the last members of the fallen royal family he hated so much.
AMID his resentment toward his brother, Vaegon concedes to Viserys' seemingly lost plans for something more for the sake of his sister. That is, until Viserys devises a plan to sell away Daenerys, the only person Vaegon loves, to a Dothraki warlord in exchange for an army to retake Westeros. Viserys had always warned them both to never awaken the dragon, but little did he know that Vaegon was ready to awaken his own.
