Chapter 6

KATHRYNS POV:

Me and Hayes were walking down the hall to the elevator with our fingers interlocked.

"I'm sorry about my brother, he really doesn't know when to stop" Hayes says

"It's okay but it's weird how your two are so different" I say back to him

"In a good way or a bad way" he asks

"This way" I turn my head and kiss his cheek

"I'm taking that as a good way" he says which makes me laugh. We approach the elevator and I freeze

"Kathryn what's what's wrong" Hayes asks concerned

"I hate elevators"

"It's okay I'm right here" he puts his arm around me and pulls me close to him.

"Hayes I'm really scared"

"C'mon you can do it" he takes my hand and pulls me towards the elevator. I step slowly into the elevator and as soon as both feet are in the elevator I cling to Hayes for dear life. My head is buried in his chest, he rests his chin on my shoulder and stokes my hair trying to calm me down.

"Hayes.." I whine

"Shhh it's okay, we are almost there" he whispers to me

"Okay" and I look up at him, he looks at me. I hear a ding and we are at the bottom floor. Hayes and I interlock fingers as we walk over the the buffet where most of the guys were already including my dad.

"Whoa Kathryn did you just walk out of the elevator" my dad asks me

"Yup" I say and look at Hayes

"Hayes you got her to go in the elevator" my dad asks looking at Hayes

"Yup" Hayes said making eye contact with my dad then looking back at me

"You are one special person" I laugh because my mom and dad tried to get me to ride the elevator for years but I refused. But when I was with Hayes I felt safe.

"Yea yea yea c'mon Hayes I'm hungry" I grab Hayes's hand and pull him towards the line for food.

"So I'm special" Hayes says

"Shut up my dad doesn't know what he's saying" I blush because Hayes was special

"Yea okay"

"What you don't believe me"

"No I believe you, it's just that I know your blushing"

"Stopppp" I turn around so my back is facing him

"C'mon don't be like that" Hayes says but I still don't turn around. "Kathryn I won't take you back up the elevator" I turn around

"You wouldn't"

"Yes I would"

"Okay I'm sorry really really sorry" I hug him

"Alright now get your food" he smiles at me

"Food!" I say and Hayes laughs at my reaction. We get our food and sit down at a table with the guys this time without my dad. Hayes is sitting in my right and Taylor is sitting on my left. Matt and Aaron are sitting across from us.

"Guys where's Nash" Taylor asks

"When i left he was still in bed" i say

"Oh yea that's right, your rooming with Nash" Aaron said

"But if your rooming with Nash why did you come here with Hayes" Matt questions

"Hayes was the only other one awake at the time" i lied but I didn't want to say that I slept in Hayes's room last night

"Oh" Matt says

"So what do you guys want to do before the show today" Taylor asks

"Well since we have to be at the place by 12 and it's 10:30 we don't have that much time to do something" Aaron says

"Why don't we go penny boarding" Hayes suggests

"What about Kathryn" Matt says and now I'm offended

"Yea what about me" I laugh as I say it

"Well your a girl" Matt says back

"And"

"You can't penny board"

"When did I say that because last time I checked I was the only girl at my school that owned a penny board"

"Haha Matt she told you" Taylor says and we all laugh

"Whatever, how about we meet down here at 11" Matt says not making eye contact with me. We all agree and since they have rooms on the first floor they don't have to take the elevator. So Hayes and I start walking towards the elevator and I get nervous again.

"Hayes" I say right before we step in

"Come here" he opens his arms so I hug him as tight as possible.

"If you hug me any tighter I might explode" I loosen my grip

"Sorry I just feel safe with you" I realize what I just said and cover my mouth with my hand. "Sorry I didn't mean to say that, I can't believe that I just said that, oh no now you think I'm creepy, I'm sorry" I rant but am interrupted with lips crashing into mine. Hayes pulls away and smiles.

"It's okay" he says and I smile. The elevator dings and me an Hayes step out.

"Hayes do you want to come back to my room, I really don't want to be there alone with your crazy ass brother." I'm laugh and so does he

"Yea sure and you think that staying with him is bad, just try living with him" he says

"Yea but then again you are a guy and his brother so he won't touch you"

"True true" he says as me walk into my room and some of the guys are in there. Like Cameron, Taylor, Dillon, Jack G, and Nash of course.

"Hey guys" I say

"Hey Kathryn" they all say back, I go sit down on the couch by the window and Hayes sits next to me. I take out my phone and pull out my camera. Me and Hayes take a selfie and I put it on twitter saying " luv him💙😂".

"Hey Kat can you send that to me" Hayes asks

"Yea sure here put your contact in" I hand him my phone. "And what's with the nickname"

"I don't know, it suits you"

"I like it, but only you get to call me that" I smile

"Yay I get to have my own name for you" I laugh at him

NASHS POV:

Hayes has been all over Kathryn and Kathryn has been all over Hayes. I don't know what is going in between those two but I don't want them to date. I want to date Kathryn, she is really hot and really nice. People think that I just go for the looks but I actually care about the personality, I'm just really bad about showing my feelings. I got invited to go penny boarding with the rest of them later so most of us are in my room getting ready to leave. Me and Cam were sitting on the bed Taylor, Dillon, Jack were sitting on the floor, Hayes and Kathryn were sitting on the couch together.

"My dad wants to talk to me so I'll be back in like 5 minute" Kathryn announces and leaves, once she is gone we all start to question Hayes

"What's going on with you and Kathryn" Dillon asks

"Nothing" Hayes simply says

"C'mon Hayes we aren't blind" Jack says

"Yea Hayes there had to be a reason why when I woke up this morning she wasn't laying down next to me"

"Nash stop! Just because you like her doesn't mean she likes you back okay!" Hayes snaps

"Okay dude chill"

"No I'm not going to chill, I actually found somebody I like and I don't need you to ruin it"

"Well maybe that's exactly what I'll do" I snap back at Hayes, and he just storms out of the room.
