Chapter 16

KATHRTNS POV:

I woke up in Hayes's grip, I shifted a little and I think I woke him up which I didn't mean to do.

"Sorry that I woke you up" I say

"It's fine, what do you wanna do today"

"I think I'm gunna stay here today" I tell him

"Sure I'll tell the rest of the guys that we are going to stay here." He says

"You don't have to stay here with me"

"i want to, so i am"

"Hayes...c'mon go have fun with the boys"

"But i'd rather stay here with you" he says while looking into my eyes

"Fine, but I'm hungry"

"I'll go get something just stay here, i'll tell Cameron or Taylor to come up here with you" he says to me then walks out

HAYES'S POV:

Kat said she was hungry so I'm gunna go walk to dunkin and get her something. i feel bad leaving her there by herself so I'm gunna go find someone to stay with her. I walk over to Taylors room and knock on the door. Cameron opens the door wearing nothing but boxers.

"Hey Hayes whats up"

"hey umm I'm gunna go walk to dunkin to get breakfast for Kat and i was wondering if you or Taylor could stay with her" I say

"Yeah sure i'll go" he says and goes to step out of his room

"Uhh Cam your not wearing pants" 

"oh yeah right" he turns around walks to his dresser and pulls out a pair of basketball shorts slips them on then walks out of the door for a second time and we start to walk back towards my room."how is she" Cam asks

"shes okay but her cheek is swollen and she's really embarrassed by it" i say

"oh man i hate that this happened to her I don't know why someone would want to do it"

"i don't know either but this Garrett kid seems to be a douche" i say and open the door, Kat is sitting up against the headboard of the bed on her phone. She looks up at us and when she sees Cameron she grabs her cheek."Kat, Cameron is going to stay with you while i go get something"

"okay" she says and looks down i sigh and walk out of the door. When i get to the lobby i see Taylor arguing with someone. As i get closer i realize that its the kid from last night, its Garrett.  

KATHRYNS POV:

I don't want anybody to see my face, I'm really embarrassed about it. it hurts like hell right now and I'm sure its swollen. Cameron walks over and sits down on the bed beside me.

"Kat you could move your hand, its okay you don't have to hide it from me" he says turning to face me

"its embarrassing Cam"

"I'm not gunna judge you, its okay" he says and i look over at him, i slowly move my hand away from my cheek

"Its hurts Cam"

"I'll text Hayes and tell him to pick up some ice" he says and grabs his phone out of his pocket

"Cam can you promise me something"

"Depends on what it is" he lays his phone on his chest and looks at me

"Can you promise me that you wont let Garrett hurt Hayes"

"Kathryn, Taylor beat the shit out of him yesterday i don't think hes gunna come around any time soon"

"you have no idea how relentless he is, he is much more powerful than you think" i say as Hayes bursts through the door panting

"dude what the hell!" Cameron says

"its Garrett, he's here and is looking for Kat!" he says looking at me

"shit!" Cameron says

"C'mon Kat we have to get you out of here!" Hayes says coming over to me grabbing my wrist and pulling me

"Wait! Hayes let me take her!" Cam says just before we were about to leave the room. Me and Hayes look at each other than back at Cam.

"Fine but keep her safe" Hayes says and my eyes go wide

"But Hayes." I try to say

"Kat I'm sorry, its better if you go with Cam" he pecks my lips quickly then leaves the room, i look at Cam with tears about to fall

"Cameron.."

"Kat we have to leave so go grab one of Hayes's shirts and find shoes" Cam says

"okay" i faintly say, i walk over to the dresser and pull out a shirt that says Davidson Day Football on it pull it over my head then put on a pair of converse that i left in here the other day

"ready" he asks

"not really"

"well we have to go" he grabs my hand and we walk down the hall to the stair case "whatever you do don't let go of my hand" he says sternly

"okay" i faintly say with tears still streaming down my face but I'm not sobbing

"everything is going to be okay, we just have to make sure he doesn't get you" we open the doors at the bottom of the stair case and i saw Taylor, Dillon,Christina, Hayes, and Nash blocking Garrett from the elevator. When the doors closed behind me and Cam it made a loud bang so now all eyes were on me and Cam.

"There she is!" Garrett yells and attempts to walk over to me but is stopped by Taylor and Dillon pushing him back

"c'mon" Cameron starts to run to the exit

"What you to scared!" Garrett yelled after me

"Shut up dude!" Hayes yelled back  

"What are you gunna do about it pretty boy"

"My name is Hayes!"

"Oh so your the one who took her from me!" Garrett yells , i look over my shoulder so see Garrett's fist collide with Hayes's face and he drops to the ground

"Hayes!" i yell and try to run back but Cam tightens his grip on my wrist "Hayes!"

"Kathryn" Cam says and throws me over his shoulder

"Cameron put me down!" I scream

"The only way your safe is away from him" he says

"But Hayes hes hurt and its all my fault!" i say and start crying

"Kathryn as much as i want to go back there and help Hayes i cant i have to keep you safe!"

(A/N I'm really sorry i haven't updated in a while, wattpad is all messed on my phone so i have to use my moms laptop. I won't be updating all weekend because im going to my friends lakehouse. but the good news is that I'm meeting Taylor next week! I'm so excited!!
