Lights flicker past quickly as we pass new cities and new territories. Within a flash it seems like everything is moving to quickly, but I do have to admit that I love this life. Having Austin as my boyfriend is the best thing that's happened in my life. And having him invite me to spend tour with him has been a once in a lifetime chance.
Tonight we travel on the bus back home to Texas for his last show. I lay halfway way across the couch with my feet dangling slightly off and Austin lays half on top of me pretty much doing the same thing. I have my ipad on reading a book though, and unlike him I'm listening to music. He's typing away on his phone as AC comes walking in from the bunks. I watch as he sits down on the other couch across from us. I swipe my menu up and hit pause on my music to listen to them. I was about to say something to let them know I could hear them, but Alex interrupted me.
"You should be asleep bro," he infers to Austin.
"Yeah, I know, but (Y/N)'s awake. We don't get a lot of moments just being together."
I look down before he turns to look at me. I feel both of their eyes on me. It takes all of my self-esteem to keep from turning red as a tomato. I glance up as they start taking again.
"She's not even paying attention to you."
"I know, but her company is all that matters."
I can't help but smile. For all they know it could be because of the book I'm reading.
"You really love her, don't you?" Alex asks placing his hand on his thigh.
"Yeah, I really do." He replies and adds a smile. AC rolls his eyes and stands up. He fumbles with Austin's hair and goes back to his bunk. I pull the headphones out of my eyes and wrap them around my ipad. I lean forward and set it on the coffee table. Austin watches me. I smile the whole time. I lean over and into his chest. His arms tug around me quickly as if it's a call for a rescue.
"I love you too," I whisper. He grins and kisses my forehead.
"You weren't supposed to be listening."
I giggle and adjust myself a little more in his grip, pulling a blanket on top of us.
"Oops."
