Anna & the french kiss

The sun feels luminous against my skin as I lay out on a blanket in my backyard. I can't resist soaking up the one day of beautiful weather it seems Texas is going to get this week. I'm reading Anna and the French Kiss and St. Clair. is killing my heart with his long curls and protective nature. He is literally too dreamy and my soul cannot take it.  "Why can't you two just kiss already?!" I say aloud as the two lay in Anna's bed, being awkward but totally sane. "Like I get you have a girlfriend, but still!"
"Sometimes I think you're crazy for yelling at book characters, but other times I love watching the frustration appear on your face."
I look up and notice Austin sitting in one of the lawn chairs against the house. When did he get there? I can't help but feel the embarrassment rise upon my cheeks. I look back down and close my book. Nice going (Y/N), nice going. He gets up and sits on the grass next to me.
"And I think I love it even more when you're embarrassed that you've been caught." 
I give a pitiful smile, showing my inner child and sit up a little so I can dig my head into his chest to avoid having to look at him. He automatically picks his hand up to my hair, creating gentle strokes smoothing out the odd pieces. "What are you reading anyways?" He says and reaches over me to pick up the masterpiece. I tell him the title and he chuckles. "Are you reading a book that tell you how to French kiss? Because I honestly think you're already a great kisser."
This time I laugh and snatch my book back.
"You're hilarious," I say and set it back in the original spot I had it. "What?" He says, smiling. "I'm asking a serious question here."
I give him an "mmhhhmm" and sit up completely. "Thats just your subtle hint of you saying that you want to kiss me, isn't it?" I tease.
A smile spread across his face and he jumps forward, knocking me onto my back. He leans in and softly presses his lips to mine. "I always want to kiss you."
