Not What He Seems

Chapter 13

"Here's the real story of what we know about your past, Tae. You sure you're ready to here it? Especially with him here?" Namjoon asked as he gestured towards Jungkook.

"I'm absolutely positive. Not only is he my boyfriend. He's also from the same planet. I want him here to hear it. I am also damn sure positive that I want to here about my past." Taehyung growled in annoyance.

"Alright. Years ago, when I was rather young. I was sitting in the living room with mom and dad when we heard a loud thud. It sounded like something had hit the house. We didn't know what it could possibly be. Dad was just about to go check when something appeared on the wall. It looked like a projection of some sort. Tae, it was a message from your mother. She asked us if we could raise you. Act as if we were your family all along. She said she would be sending you in about a month. There was a button so we could record our own message. We asked a few questions. One of them being, why you wouldn't remember them if you were ten years old. She answered with...." Namjoon once more hesitated.

"What did my mother say?!" Taehyung demanded. Jungkook hugged him from behind to calm him down some. He knew what it was like to be lied to.

"If you say so. She said that she erased your memory. To keep you safe. They knew another one would come to this planet. They knew he would be in danger since he was keeping his memories. They didn't want you to be in danger. They also knew they were going to die. They made us promise not to ever tell you on our own. That we could only reveal it if you ever found out for yourself. I'm sorry Taehyung. They were your parents and we had to grant their last wish. Which was to keep you safe! It's done a pretty damn good job. I mean look what Jungkook has had to fight. All because he kept his memory." Namjoon hissed. He wasn't about to let himself be blamed for everything.

"I could of helped him! I have powers just like him! I could have protected him. He's been hurt multiple times when I could've helped him." Taehyung argued back. That's when Jungkook had had enough.

"Enough you two!" Jungkook shouted to gain the brothers attention.

"What?!" They yelled in unison.

"Namjoon, can Taehyungp please spend a few nights at my house?" Jungkook asked as he turned toward the eldest brother.

"Why would I let you do that?" Namjoon scoffed.

"So, you two can calm down. You both have very good reasons to be upset and I understand both of them. But, I also don't want you two to go at each others throats like wolves. That's not going to help at all. Give it a few days so you can cool off. I can help my boyfriend cool off. While Namjoon's help him." Jungkook declared.

"Who?" Namjoon asked in confusion.

"Jin." Jungkook deadpanned. Namjoon's face turned a light shade of pink.

"I guess I can call Jin over". Namjoon murmured. That's when something hit the brothers at the same time.

"What do you mean you know what my reason is?" The brothers cried out in unison.

"Honestly, you two might as well be blood related. Anyway, I mean I know why both of you are upset. Namjoon, you're upset because you know none of this is your fault. You also don't like it when your wrongly accused of something and that's exactly what's happening right now. Tae, you're upset because you've been lied to your whole life. It doesn't have anything to do with Namjoon. I should know. I was also lied to all my life about what I really was when I was on my planet." Jungkook sighed.

"What were you?" Namjoon asked, now intrigued.

" I was a royal. Believe it or not, they had mates and Taehyung is mine. Our powers combined are what can stop the Hati. Anyway, can I bring Taehyung to my house for a few days?" Jungkook asked as he finally got back to his original question.

"Fine, just take care of him." Namjoon agreed. Jungkook nodded his head while Taehyung went to get packed. He came down a few minutes later.

"Thank you, Namjoon! I'll see you at school and it's only a few days!" Taehyung called out to his brother while he was making his way to the door. At the last minute, he dropped everything. Turning back and running to hug Namjoon. Pulling away a moment later, officially leaving.

"Where's your car?"

"I'm not driving or walking and neither are you." Jungkook smirked as he turned to Taehyung.

"Huh? Then what are we doing?" Taehyung slightly titled his head in confusion.

"We're going to fly there." Jungkook grinned.

"I can't!" Taehyung cried out in protest.

"Baby, Yes you can. You are a Jeontae. It's in your DNA." Jungkook proclaimed with a smile. Taehyung sighed, reluctantly agreeing.

"Just start running and then jump. That's how you first start to learn. I'll wait for you." With that, Jungkook took a single leap and was now flying above Taehyung.

'I don't know if I can do this.' Taehyung sighed.

He tried it anyway. Running with his bag was rather tricky. Jungkook must of noticed. He swooped down a moment later to grab it. Now Taehyung was running a bit easier. He soon leaped, staying in the air only a few moments. So, he tried again. Only to get the same result.

'Don't you dare give up Kim Taehyung.' Taehyung cheered himself on.

With one final huge leap. Taehyung, was finally in the sky. Right beside his boyfriend where he belonged. Jungkook grinned at him, grabbing his hand to lead him. The two flew over to the Parks house. Still not landing once they got here. Only opened the door, flying inside.

They didn't land until they were in Jungkook's room. That's when the first tear fell from Taehyung's. Followed by multiple other ones. Jungkook used his thumb to carefully wipe them away.

"We aren't so different you and I. You know that right? We're in this together. I know what you went through because I went through it to." Jungkook reassured.

"But, you knew you had these powers." Taehyung complained.

"Yes, But I wasn't aloud to use them. I'm not even supposed to be using them now. But, I don't really care anymore. Other than that. We aren't different. We are both from the same planet where we lost everything in the blink of an eye. Only to be tossed to a new finally who apparently had been picked out a month in advance. We've also been lied to all our life's. I didn't even know royals were actually real." Jungkook chuckled sadly.

"We're in this together right?" Taehyung sniffed as he gently smiled at his boyfriend. He really wanted to cheer up the sad raven haired boy.

"Without a doubt." Jungkook replied as he lightly pecked Taehyung's lips.
