Chapter 20

"So, you already opened up the letter from Jungkook's mom?" Namjoon asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"Yes." Taehyung answered simply.

"Tae, the information in this letter may be a little to much for you. It explains why and how they erased your memory. Do you really want to know?" Namjoon frowned.

"Without a doubt." Taehyung said with confidence.

"Babe!" Namjoon called out.

"Yeah?" Jin answered as he walked in to the room, now standing beside Namjoon.

"Do you think it's a good idea to give him the letter from his birth parents?" Namjoon pouted as he placed his arm around Jin's waist. Jin, only sighed.

"That is not for you to decide. That should be Taehyung's choice. Whether it ends good or bad. Taehyung should get to choose. It is from his parents. If he wants the letter, then give it to him." Jin insisted.

Namjoon sighed, nodding as he walked off. He came back a few minutes later. Holding an identical metal box they saw not to long ago.

"Go ahead, open it." Namjoon urged as he passed the box to Tae.

Tae nodded. Searching until he found 'KT' he placed his thumb on the scanner underneath. It blinked green a few seconds later. Then, he handed it over to Jungkook. He did the same thing, the scanner blinking green once more. The lid soon popped open. The Taekook couple was prepared for it, not even flinching. The Namjin couple got only slightly startled. Taehyung pulled out a light red envelope. Carefully opening it, pulling out the letter.

Jungkook grabbed his hand to calm him down some. Tae sucked in a huge breath. Slowly letting it out to calm his heart beat. Squeezing his boyfriends hand. He began to read aloud.

Dear My Handsome Taedy Bear,

I am very sorry for what I have done. But, if I had to go back? I wouldn't change it. Please, let me explain why. We did not do anything that went against our people. All we did, was give you a serum. The serum is indeed reversible. We only wanted to keep you safe. We didn't want you to have to deal with so much at such a young age. As your soulmates mother put in her letter. It was no accident that you and him ended up in the same place. We knew he would protect you. I got permission from his mom to give you the serum and she agreed. My son, if you wish to remember. All you have to do, is drink the vial in the box. If you are reading this, I know you're ready to fight along side Jeon Jungkook. There is a passcode to get the vial. Take the first letter of each word after dear at the top of the letter. I love you my darling boy. I'm sorry I had to make you forget. I hope one day, you'll understand why. Thank you for being brave.

Taehyung felt his eyes tear up. He reached back in the box, pulling out the vial. He found the lock. Entering 'MHTB' into it, effectively opening it.

He didn't waste a second. He popped off the lid, downing it in one go.

"How did you read that? It was all in Jeontae." Jungkook cautiously asked after Tae was done drinking the the strange liquid.

Taehyung felt no different. He could feel some memories returning. Though, it didn't feel like how he thought it would. It was as if he had the memories all along. It was like, he had never lost them in the first place. A rather, strange feeling.

"I don't know . I don't know why I knew it. But I do know the language. Strange, I feel like I'm only remembering it. Like when a random memory pops into your head as your reminiscing. It feels like I never even forgot." Taehyung sighed.

"Maybe you didn't. The mind is very powerful when it comes to Jeontae's. Seems like you knew it without realizing it." Jungkook suggested.

"Yeah , probably. So, what now?" Taehyung asked as he turned to his boyfriend.

"Now? We must decide a few things. Let's go, we can fly to wherever you want while we talk." Jungkook said as he walked out of the house, taking off into the air.

"See you later, big brother. Bye Jin!" Taehyung called out behind him as he took off after his boyfriend.

"Where do you want to go?" Jungkook asked as Taehyung was now beside him.

"How about, the Eiffel Tower? I've been there once, though I could never go as high as I wanted on it. Now, we can." Taehyung smiled. Jungkook agreed, knowing it wouldn't take them long at all to get there.

"So, we must decide a few things." Jungkook pursed his lips as they flew.

"Like, What?"

"Like, will we fight together? Or will we alternate? Not now of course. But, when we get older. We are destined to save this planet. To protect." Jungkook explained. Taehyung nodded in agreement.

"I don't ever want to fight without you. We fight together, or not at all." Taehyung, firmly stated.

"Sounds good to me. Next, will we go by codenames or will we use our real names?"

"What's the point in using codenames? We have no intergalactic enemies other than the Hati. Which, will be taken care of by the time we get older. If any mortal wants to go against us and try to threaten us. Let them, they'll pay." Taehyung pointed out.

"So, real names it is." Taehyung nodded.

"Ok, will we tell our school now? Or, will we just let them find out when they're older?"

"Makes no sense to wait. If we need to protect them, we'll be revealing ourselves anyway. Why hide it? We could use it to our advantage." Taehyung snickered.

"Taehyung..." Jungkook's voice had a warning tone to it.

"That's not what I meant! I meant, no one would mess with us. We could protect people without having to hurt anyone. It would be for the better if we told them." Taehyung quickly defended. Jungkook chuckled at the pouting elder.

"Alright, alright. We're here by the way." Jungkook announced as he landed at the highest ledge on the Eiffel Tower. Taehyung, landed next to him.

"It's beautiful." Taehyung stated in awe.

But, as cliche as it may sound. Jungkook, wasn't looking at the sunset. He was looking at the breathtaking boy right next to him.

"It will never be as beautiful as the amazing hero standing next to me." Jungkook dreamily stated. Taehyung's head snapped towards him. Cheeks blushing a rosy color.

"I'm no hero and I'm certainly not beautiful or amazing." Taehyung mumbled. Jungkook, easily heard every word.

"Don't you ever say that again. You are in my eyes. I know for a fact, no one would disagree. Babe, you're hot." Jungkook stated as his eyes scanned over the elders body with no shame.

"Though there is one thing better than your body." Jungkook spoke in a husky voice, sending shivers down the brunettes spine.

"W-what's That?"

"Your amazing personality."

"Jungkook!" Taehyung scolded in embarrassment.
