Chapter 5 - Taming the Hulk

So just a quick note to say that the Peter Parker I'm using is a mixture of all the Spidermans. He's mainly based on the cartoon the Ultimate Spiderman and so are MJ and Harry but not everything fits. Also just saying that Peter and Jez are only best friends. One last thing is I wanted to thank everyone for reading, voting, fanning and recommending. I appreciate it!!

The Hulk stared at Jez and Steve. Jez could feel her instincts kick into overdrive. She knew one thing and one thing only. If she didn’t calm Bruce down quickly then no one would need that vial because no one would survive the Hulk’s rampage. She went to get up but realised that Steve was still lying on top of her stopping her from moving. Instead of getting up and running he decided to wrap himself around Jez protectively.

Jez knew that that was a stupid idea. Steve never really had stupid ideas so she was very surprise. Well he did want to take the vial and that was stupid but apart from that he was smart.

“Steve, get off of me and run!” Jez yelled at Steve as the Hulk took a step towards them. In about five more he’d be at them. Jez looked around for Peter who seemed to be waiting for just the right moment. He looked at Jez and pointed at the roof.

Jez understood right away. The Hulk took another step and then another. Jez watched Peter for a signal. Tony’s suit was beginning to wrap around him.

“Now!” Peter yelled and, with all of her force, Jez pushed herself up into the air, pinning Steve to the roof. The Hulk was momentarily confused but Peter only needed a moment. A heap of webs shot from his wrists and hit the Hulk square in the chest. Jez watched as he stumbled backward.

Steve slipped out of Jezebel’s grip and landed on his feet. He leaped over Spiderman’s webs and ran for the vial that was about to be smashed by the Hulk’s feet. He could hear Jez yelling at him to come back but he just kept running. Peter tried to shoot a web at him but he deflected it with his shield. He was almost there when the Hulk noticed him.

Jez watched as the Hulk noticed the Captain. She landed on the floor and took off after him forgetting about her initial plan. Tony was now beside her. He blasted Spiderman’s webs out of their way without thinking. The Hulk roared and ran for Peter. Jez and Tony stopped and turned.

“I’ve got Parker,” Tony said as they ran back the way they had come. “You try and Charm Banner and keep him in the tower.”

With an abrupt nod from Jez they went their separate ways. Jez needed to find a way to keep the Hulk still so that she could get his attention without being flung around like a rag doll. She leaped onto his back and held on for dear life. The Hulk twisted and turned trying to get Jez off of his back. She tried to climb up his back slowly and surely.

Jezebel’s phone began to buzz. She pulled it out quickly and looked at the screen. A picture of her and Harry flashed on the screen. She decided to answer it quickly or else there’d be a million questions the next day.

“Now’s not a good time Harry,” she said and almost got flung against the wall. “Can you call me back later?”

“Sure,” Harry said. “MJ needs to talk to you about some show or something too. I didn’t know you wanted to do Broadway.”

“Not now Harry,” Jez said and hung up just in time because the Hulk roared again.

“Steve?” Jez heard Tony yell but right then she was kind of busy. She couldn’t think of Steve right now or she’d be putting everyone in danger, even the New Yorkers in the streets below if the Hulk got out.

“Spiderman!” Jez yelled shakily as she was tossed around even more. “A little help, please?”

“Jez!” Peter yelled but it was too late for her to do anything.
