Third Person P.O.V:
Roman didn't know just what to think when he found Virgil stumbling into his room at three in the morning, tears streaking his pale cheeks and breaths labored. The prince-like-man had been hunched over his desk working tirelessly for an unthinkable amount of time. He, being the head of the drama department, was tasked with the laborious effort of trying to write an entire script for the next production of a play that the theatre crew was going to put on. At first, he'd been overjoyed to be granted the creative freedom to come up with an entire story for a play and get to write it himself. He could be a creator of worlds, almost a god, and that rather pleased him. It was a gutsy decision of his instructor to choose him for such a special and meaningful job, and he wasn't about to go and let him down. This was an honor, he reminded himself, and he needed to treat it as such. And even though he knew this was so, the job was a tad more difficult than he'd initially predicted. Now that he thought about it, his friend Logan had warned him that this was going to be far more difficult than he could imagine and a major source of stress for him. And with the deadline for it being finished looming ominously, Logan had wondered if it was a good idea for him to do this, especially on top of other classwork but at the time he'd brushed him off as not knowing what he was talking about at all. Now that he really thought about it though, he hated to admit that Logan had been completely correct. Even so, he couldn't let it show and he was determined to work his ass off to pull this together and make it great. But with an uncountable amount of crumpled papers scrunched up in his waste bin and his hand cramped from having written for so long and the ink in his pen having been emptied, he was beginning to give up hope on this valiant quest, something that almost never happened.
He sighed deeply, leaning back in his chair and pinching his temple, trying to take a quick mental-breather before he heard a creaking just a few feet away. For a moment he'd been startled, having been so concentrated on his work and gnawed at by exhaustion that the littlest thing set him on edge. His eyes flew open as he swiveled in his chair to face what'd caused the sound when he looked to see Virgil standing in the doorway on wobbly knees. His eyes were wide, red with tears plastered to his cheeks seeming even more pale than usual, his mascara running down his face. His entire body was trembling and in all honesty he looked about four seconds from collapsing. Roman certainly hadn't expected to find his roommate and friend in such a vile state and he, quickly as he could, sprung into action, rising from his chair and rushing to the emo nightmare's side, scooping him up into a tight embrace. The moment Virgil had Roman's arms wrapped around him his sobs only worsened, his breaths dangerously rapid as he pressed himself against Roman, feeling his balance waver as his legs shook with tremendous force.
"R-Ro I didn't m-mean to – I-." Virgil, try as he may, couldn't force a coherent sentence through his muddled tears. They were streaming down his face now, the tricky process of trying to keep himself standing on his two legs becoming incredibly difficult.
"Hey, hey," Roman said in a tone attempting to convey calm – though in actuality he was really beginning to freak out. Roman wasn't always the best when it came to dealing with Virgil and his anxiety attack. Yes, he was very well versed in romance and the desires of the heart, but when it came to Virgil and his severe anxiety Roman couldn't help but feel more than a little out of his element here. He wasn't always good at identifying what was wrong or understanding it for that matter. It didn't help that he just might have maybe had a gigantic crush on the emo. More than a crush in reality, not that he'd ever let anyone know that. This only worsened dealing with poor mental health. Sure, he was a rather brave and dashing fellow, but in the face of panic, such terrible panic he felt like a fish out of water. Even so, now he was in a vulnerable state and Roman would so anything to make him feel even a little better. "Hey, it's okay, you're okay," he said, picking the trembling man up in his arms, only causing Virgil to shiver more so as he held him above the ground before setting him down on his bed.
