Eric looked at the woman on the hospital bed. He saw the pain in her eyes, it pained him to see her in her state.

He grabbed her hands and begged her, he begged her to stay with him, but not only for him, but to think about her son.

Was she willing to leave her son a orphan in this world that would be cruel to him without her by his side.

But Courtney was emotionless, it was like if his words wouldn't enter her mind. She couldn't hear him cause the pain had taken over her body.

He felt his heart drop, he saw the monitor marking her heart rate stop.

He looked over at the panic doctors moving quickly to save the life of a mother and child.

He fell on his knees and cried, he looked up with his hand up for prayer.

He begged his Lord Savior to save the life of the woman he loved and her son that he would raise as his own.

But, sometimes prayers can't always come true.
