Courtney felt heartbroken, how could Eric act like this after what she had done to him. But, it was because Eric loved her. He forgave Courtney, even if he knew that Courtney's heart didn't belong to him, he hoped one day, it would.

Courtney finally agreed, and that day, Eric moved into her empty room in her apartment. From that day on, Eric didn't let Courtney do anything on her own. He paid her bills, he took care of her, he made sure she went to all her appointments and paid for them, he made sure she ate healthily, he did everything for her.

Courtney was grateful for that, but no what matter how much she stopped herself, she couldn't stop picturing what it would be like if it was Shayne who was there for her instead of Eric.
